| heal.abstract | Στην παρακάτω πτυχιακή εργασία θα γίνει ανάλυση των δικτύων χαλκού και των οπτικών ινών. Αναλυτικότερα, θα αναφερθεί ο τρόπος με τον οποίο ξεκίνησαν, πώς δημιουργήθηκαν καθώς και πώς εξελίσσονται ανά τις δεκαετίες στην Ελλάδα. Θα αποτυπωθεί πως ένα δίκτυο σημάτων μορς έφτασε στη μεταφορά ήχου. Έπειτα επιτακτική κρίθηκε η ανάγκη μεταφοράς δεδομένων (ίντερνετ), η οποία αρχικά ήρθε να χρησιμοποιήσει το υπάρχον δίκτυο και στη συνέχεια να αναπτύξει νέο δίκτυο οπτικών ινών. Έτσι φτάσαμε από ταχύτητες 64kb να προσφέρονται ταχύτητες 1000mbps. Πιο συγκεκριμένα θα γίνει μια επεξήγηση της τοπογραφίας των δυο δικτύων στον Ν. Λασιθίου, όπως της λειτουργίας και συντήρησης του. Στην συνέχεια θα γίνει ανάλυση δεδομένων τον οποίων έγινε συλλογή γι’ αυτή την πτυχιακή εργασία. Τα δεδομένα αυτά έρχονται από διαχείριση βλαβών που έγιναν στο δίκτυο του Ν. Λασιθίου κατά την εργασία μου που αφορά στο δίκτυο χαλκού και οπτικών ινών . Θα αναλυθούν οι διαφορές των δικτύων στο κομμάτι των βλαβών τους, δηλαδή στο κατά πόσο εύκολα γίνεται μια βλάβη και στο κατά πόσο εύκολα επιλύεται. Το αποτέλεσμα αυτής της σύγκρισης θα μας δείξει τελικά ποιο από τα δυο δίκτυα είναι καλύτερο για τον τελικό χρήστη και πώς θα κινηθεί η ανάπτυξη του στα επόμενα χρονιά. | el |
| heal.abstract | In this thesis, an analysis will be carried out on copper and fiber optic networks, examining how they began, how they were developed, and how they have evolved over the decades in Greece. We will explain how communication moved from a signaling network to the transmission of voice. Later, the need for data transmission (internet) emerged, which initially relied on the existing network infrastructure and was subsequently expanded with the development of a new fiber optic network. This evolution has brought us from speeds of 64 kbps to today’s offerings of up to 1000 Mbps. More specifically, the study will include an explanation of the topology of both networks in the prefecture of Lasithi, as well as their operation and maintenance. Following this, we will proceed with an analysis of data collected for the purposes of this thesis. These data were derived from fault management processes carried out on the networks of the Lasithi region during my work on copper and fiber optic infrastructure. We will examine the differences between the two networks in terms of faults—namely, how easily failures occur and how efficiently they are resolved. The outcome of this comparison will ultimately demonstrate which of the two networks provides better service for the end user, and it will also indicate how the technological development of these networks is likely to progress in the coming years. | en |
