| heal.abstract | Στην παρούσα διδακτορική διατριβή εξετάζεται η μεταγραφή του Ημερολογίου της Άννας Φρανκ στην αφηγηματική και εικαστική φόρμα των graphic novels. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, η μελέτη έχει σκοπό να αναδείξει τη διακειμενική σχέση που αναπτύσσεται ανάμεσα στο αφετηριακό έργο και στην προσαρμογή του (adaptation) σε graphic diary από τους A.Folman και D.Polonsky (Εκδόσεις Πατάκη 2017). Στο θεωρητικό μέρος της εργασίας διερευνώνται οι θεωρητικοί όροι που άπτονται του θέματος, όπως ημερολόγιο, graphic novels, καθώς και το ιστορικό συγκείμενό τους. Ενδεικτικά, ορισμένα θέματα που θίγονται και εξετάζονται είναι το χρονικό έκδοσης του Ημερολογίου της Άννας Φρανκ, οι πολυτροπικές απεικονίσεις του Ημερολογίου (κινηματογράφος, όπερα, τηλεόραση), η διαλογική σχέση που αναπτύσσεται ανάμεσα στη λογοτεχνία και τα κόμικς, ζητήματα γλώσσας και τεχνικής - η μεταφορά του λόγου και των αφηγηματικών δομών του Ημερολογίου στο graphic diary. Επίσης, επιχειρείται η ανάδειξη άγνωστων πτυχών και κεκαλυμμένων νοημάτων του λογοτεχνικού έργου μέσω της εικόνας στο graphic diary και μελετώνται ζητήματα, όπως η πιστότητα της εικονογράφησης στην ιστορική εποχή του λογοτεχνικού έργου, η επιρροή που ασκεί το ποιόν των δημιουργών και το κοινωνικοπολιτικό γίγνεσθαι της εποχής δημιουργίας του graphic diary, καθώς και ζητήματα μετάφρασης του αφετηριακού έργου στην ελληνική γλώσσα. Στο ερευνητικό μέρος, επιχειρείται συγκριτική μελέτη του αφετηριακού και του διασκευασμένου έργου. Ουσιαστικά, ερευνάται η διακειμενική σχέση της λογοτεχνίας -συγκεκριμένα του ημερολογιακού είδους- και των κόμικς, μία σχέση που καταδεικνύει την αλληλεπίδραση και τον αμφίδρομο δανεισμό στοιχείων μεταξύ των δύο μορφών τέχνης. Ταυτόχρονα, διερευνώνται οι συγκλίσεις και οι αποκλίσεις που διαπιστώνονται ανάμεσα στο πρωτότυπο έργο και στην προσαρμογή του (adaptation) σε κόμικς, εξετάζοντας, παράλληλα, την αισθητική αξία του έργου, η οποία προκύπτει από τη μεταγραφή και τη συμβολή του στην προώθηση της λογοτεχνίας. | el |
| heal.abstract | In the present PHD thesis, the adaptation of Anne Frank’s Diary into the narrative and visual form of the graphic novels is discussed. More specifically, the study aims to highlight the intertextual relation that is developed between the initial work and its adaptation into a graphic diary by A. Folman and D. Polonsky (Patakis Publications, 2017). In the theoretical part of the thesis, the theoretical terms that pertain to the topic - such as diary, graphic novels, as well as their historical context - are studied. Indicatively, some issues that are touched upon and looked into are the chronicle of the Diary’s publication, the multimodal depictions of the Diary (cinema, opera, television), the interactive relation that is developed between literature and comics, issues of language and technique – the transcription of words and narrative structures of the Diary into a graphic diary. In addition, the revelation of unknown aspects and hidden meanings of the literary work through the image in the graphic diary is attempted and several issues are studied, such as the accuracy of the illustration with the historic era of the literary work, the influence of the creators’ personality and of the socio-political life at the time the graphic diary was created, as well as issues concerning translation of the original work in the Greek language. A comparative study of the original work and its adaptation is attempted in the research part of the thesis. What is mainly examined is the intertextual relation of literature – specifically of the diary genre – and comics, a relation that demonstrates the interaction and the two-way appropriation of elements between the two different forms of art. At the same time, through this study, a need arises to analyze the convergences and divergences of the original work and its adaptation into a comic, examining, at the same time, the aesthetic value of the work produced by its transcription and its contribution to the promotion of literature. | en |
