| heal.abstract | Στην ανακοίνωση αυτή θα γίνει φιλοσοφική ανάλυση του χωρίου 291d9-291e2 του πλατωνικού διαλόγου Ιππίας Μείζων. Στο εν λόγω χωρίο διατυπώνεται από τον σοφιστή Ιππία ένας ορισμός του ωραίου, ο οποίος αντανακλά τα ιδεώδη της αρχαίας ελληνικής κοινωνίας για τον ολοκληρωμένο βίο και τον πρέποντα χρόνο έλευσης του θανάτου. Σύμφωνα με τον ορισμό αυτόν, όλοι δέχονται πάντοτε και σε όλα τα μέρη ότι «κάλλιστον» (=ωραιότατο) για έναν άνδρα είναι να αποκτήσει πλούτο, να έχει υγεία, να δεχθεί τιμές από τους συμπολίτες του, να φθάσει σε προχωρημένη ηλικία, να κάνει ωραία κηδεία στους γονείς του, όταν πεθάνουν, και, όταν έλθει η ώρα, να τον θάψουν και αυτόν μεγαλοπρεπώς τα παιδιά του. Θα δοθεί ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη θέση ότι η μεγαλοπρεπής ταφή των γονέων εκ μέρους των τέκνων τους εθεωρείτο στην αρχαία Ελλάδα σημαντικό στοιχείο του ευ ζην. | el |
| heal.abstract | In this announcement, a philosophical analysis will be made of section 291d9-291e2 of the Platonic dialogue Hippias Major. In this passage, the sophist Hippias formulates a definition of the beautiful, which reflects the ideals of the ancient Greek society for the complete life and about when death should come. According to this definition, everyone always and everywhere accepts that it is "the best" (= the most beautiful) for a human to acquire wealth, to have health, to be honored by his fellow citizens, to reach an advanced age, to do a good funeral to his parents, when they die, and, when time comes, his children to bury him majestically. Particular emphasis will be placed on the position that the grandiose burial of parents by their children was considered an important element of well-living in ancient Greece. | en |
