| heal.abstract | Εισαγωγή: Η νοσηλεία ενός νεογέννητου στη Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνού – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα δημιουργεί πολλά αρνητικά συναισθήματα στους γονείς και οδηγεί σε μια πρωτόγνωρη και δύσκολη εμπειρία όχι μόνο για τους ίδιους αλλά και για ολόκληρη την οικογένεια. Οι εμπειρίες των γονέων είναι εξαιρετικά σημαντικό να διερευνηθούν σε βάθος με σκοπό να διαμορφωθούν στοχευμένες παρεμβάσεις ώστε να αντιμετωπιστούν οι επιπτώσεις που βιώνουν οι γονείς ενός νεογνού που νοσηλεύεται σε νεογνολογική μονάδα. Σκοπός: Σκοπός της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι να διερευνηθούν οι εμπειρίες των γονέων με νεογνό που νοσηλευεται σε νεογνολογική μονάδα. Μεθοδολογία: Στη παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εντάσσεται στην επιστημολογία του εμπειρισμού, εφαρμόστηκε ποιοτική μεθοδολογία, η μέθοδος συλλογής δεδομένων πραγματοποιήθηκε με τη μέθοδο της ατομικής συνέντευξης και έγινε χρήση ενός ημιδομημένου οδηγού συνέντευξης. Η δειγματοληπτική τεχνική έγινε με το συνδυασμό της δειγματοληψίας κριτηρίου και της ευκολίας δειγματοληψίας. Στη μελέτη συμμετείχαν δέκα γονείς οι οποίοι πληρούσαν τα κριτήρια αποδοχής και αποκλεισμού του δείγματος. Η μελέτη πραγματοποιήθηκε στο χώρο της Μονάδας Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα του Πανεπιστημιακού Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Ιωαννίνων. Αποτελέσματα: Από την ανάλυση των δεδομένων προέκυψαν εννέα κύρια θέματα τα οποία σχετίζονται από τις εμπειρίες των γονέων με νεογνό που νοσηλεύεται σε νεογνολογική μονάδα. Τα θέματα ήταν: 1)εμπειρίες γονέων από τη νοσηλεία του νεογνού στη Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα, 2)συνθήκες νοσηλείας και το περιβάλλον της Μονάδας Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα, 3)ιδιαιτερότητες της νοσηλείας στη Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα, 4)εμπειρίες από το νοσηλευτικό προσωπικό της Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα, 5)περιγραφή τραυματικής εμπειρίας από τη νοσηλεία του νεογνού στη Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα, 6)ψυχολογική και συναισθηματική κατάσταση γονέων με νεογνό που νοσηλεύεται σε Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα, 7)παρεμβάσεις και υποστήριξη του γονέα από το νοσηλευτικό προσωπικό της Μονάδας Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα, 8)ατομική στρατηγική διαχείρισης του γονέα που σχετίζεται με τον αποχωρισμό του νεογνού τους και 9)υποστηρικτικό περιβάλλον του γονέα με νεογνό που νοσηλεύεται σε Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα. Συμπεράσματα: Η νοσηλεία του νεογνού σε Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα οδηγεί τους γονείς αντιμέτωπους με μια δύσκολη, επώδυνη, τραυματική και ψυχοφθόρα εμπειρία, η οποία τους προκαλεί πολλά αντικρουόμενα συναισθήματα. Ο αποχωρισμός, οι συνέπειες της κατάστασης της υγείας του νεογέννητου, η ανάγκη για σωματική επαφή, η ανάγκη για δημιουργία σχέσης γονέα – παιδιού και η κατάλληλη εκπλήρωση των γονεϊκών ρόλων μπορούν να δημιουργήσουν πολλά αρνητικά συναισθήματα στους γονείς, όπως άγχος, πανικό, θλίψη, φόβο για το άγνωστο, ανασφάλεια, θλίψη και ανασφάλεια. Οι περισσότεροι γονείς έλαβαν υποστήριξη από επαγγελματίες όπως ψυχίατροι, γυναικολόγοι, παιδίατροι, ψυχίατροι και κυρίως νοσηλευτές στη Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών – Νεογνολογική Μονάδα καθώς και από τις οικογένειες, τους συγγενείς, τους φίλους, τους κοινωνικούς κύκλους και τους συντρόφους τους. Τόνισαν επίσης ότι η υποστήριξη που έλαβαν από άλλους γονείς με παρόμοιες εμπειρίες ήταν πολύ σημαντική για την αντιμετώπιση της κατάστασης. | heal.abstract | Background: Hospitalization of a newborn in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit creates many negative emotions for parents and leads to an unprecedented and difficult experience not only for them but also for the whole family. The experiences of parents are extremely important to be explored in depth in order to formulate targeted interventions to address the effects experienced by parents of a neonate hospitalized in a neonatal unit. Aim: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the experiences of parents with a newborn hospitalized in a neonatal unit. Methods: In this thesis, it is part of the epistemology of empiricism, a qualitative methodology was applied, the data collection method was carried out with the individual interview method and a semi-structured interview guide was used. The sampling technique was done by combining criterion sampling and convenience sampling. Ten parents who met the acceptance and exclusion criteria of the sample participated in the study. The study was carried out at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit of the University General Hospital of Ioannina. Results: From the analysis of the data, nine main themes emerged related to the experiences of parents with a newborn hospitalized in a neonatal unit. The topics were: 1) parents' experiences of the newborn's hospitalization in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit, 2) hospitalization conditions and the environment of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit, 3) particularities of hospitalization in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit Unit, 4) experiences from the nursing staff of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Neonatal Unit, 5) description of traumatic experience from the newborn’s hospitalization in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Neonatal Unit, 6) psychological and emotional state of parents with a newborn hospitalized in the Unit Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit, 7) interventions and support of the parent by the nursing staff of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit, 8) individual management strategy of the parent related to the separation of their newborn and 9) supportive environment of the parent with neonate hospitalized in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Neonatal Unit. Conclusions: The hospitalization of the newborn in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Neonatal Unit leads the parents to face a difficult, painful, traumatic and soul-destroying experience, which causes them many conflicting emotions. Separation, the consequences of the newborn's health status, the need for physical contact, the need to establish a parent-child relationship and the appropriate fulfillment of parental roles can create many negative emotions in parents, such as anxiety, panic, sadness, fear for the unknown, insecurity, sadness and insecurity. Most parents received support from professionals such as psychiatrists, gynecologists, paediatricians, psychiatrists and especially nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Neonatal Unit as well as from their families, relatives, friends, social circles and partners. They also emphasized that the support they received from other parents with similar experiences was very important in coping with the situation.
