| heal.abstract | Η επίδραση που μπορεί να έχει ο αστικός σχεδιασμός τόσο στη ροή της καθημερινότητας όσο και στην εξέλιξη της πόλης και της κοινωνίας δεν γίνεται συχνά αντιληπτή στην πραγματική της διάσταση. Κατ’ επέκταση, ο αστικός σχεδιασμός έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί ανά καιρούς για την εξασφάλιση του ελέγχου της κοινωνίας, αλλά και για τη διατήρηση των αρμονικών ρυθμών ροής της καθημερινότητας. Οι κοινωνικές εξεγέρσεις και ασύμμετρες συγκρούσεις αποτελούν κατά βάση την πιο κοινή αιτία διαταραχής των ομαλών ρυθμών της καθημερινότητας στα αστικά κέντρα και η πρόληψη και διαχείριση τους έχουν αποτελέσει ουκ ολίγες φορές αντικείμενο ενασχόλησης του σχεδιασμό και της Αρχιτεκτονικής, ανά τα χρόνια. Η έρευνα αυτή επικεντρώνεται στη χωρική διάσταση των εξεγέρσεων αυτών, τον τρόπο με τον οποίον αυτές επηρεάζουν την ποιότητα του δημόσιου χώρου, καθώς και το πως οι εκάστοτε συνθήκες που διαμορφώνει ο σχεδιασμός των αστικών κέντρων επιδρούν στη γέννηση και την εξέλιξη των φαινομένων αυτών. Αναζητείται παράλληλα η προέλευση των τεχνικών που χρησιμοποιεί ο σχεδιασμός για να εξασφαλίσει τον έλεγχο, καθώς και αξιολογείται η αποτελεσματικότητά των τεχνικών αυτών σε πρόσφατα παραδείγματα. Συνδέει, τέλος, τα όσα έχουν προκύψει με την περίπτωση της Ελλάδας και πως η εγχώρια αρχιτεκτονική παραγωγή λειτούργησε με υποβόσκοντα κίνητρα και, μεταξύ άλλων, με απώτερο σκοπό τον έλεγχο. | heal.abstract | The effect of Urban Design on the daily life of the citizens and the city evolution is not always perceived in its full potentials. It is commonly admitted that Urban Design has contributed several times in controlling the society and preserving its regular ways of operating. The urban revolts and the asymmetrical collisions are considered to be the most common cause of disorder of the normal function of the urban societies and the prevention and control of them have been main issues in the design and architecture process when it comes to city planning and urban design. This research focuses on the spatial nature of these revolts, the way in which they affect the quality of the public space, and, also, how the design and planning of urban regions affects the birth and the outcome of these revolts. Moreover, the research continues with the origin of these techniques and methods of the urban design that aim to control the society and, also, there is an evaluation of those techniques in contemporary and recent case studies. Last but not least, it is tried to find a connection between the research outcome and the Greek cases, as well as how the local architecture and planning methods have been also aiming in control, among others.
