| heal.abstract | Η πολιτιστική ταυτότητα που αναπτύσσουν τα άτομα με απώλεια ακοής έχει απασχολήσει ιδιαίτερα την επιστημονική κοινότητα τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες. Η συγκεκριμένη έννοια αντικατοπτρίζει τις απόψεις και αντιλήψεις των ατόμων σε διάφορα επίπεδα, στοιχείο που παρουσιάζει σημαντικό αντίκτυπο στη ζωή τους. Η παρούσα εργασία, έχοντας ως δείγμα 155 άτομα με Κώφωση, επικεντρώθηκε στη διερεύνηση της επίδρασης που ασκεί η ταυτότητα των ατόμων αυτών στην ποιότητα της ζωής τους. Παράλληλα, εξετάστηκε ο τρόπος με τον οποίο τα ατομικά χαρακτηριστικά των ατόμων με Κώφωση επηρεάζουν την ανάπτυξη της ταυτότητάς τους αλλά και τους διάφορους τομείς της ποιότητας ζωής τους. Συγκεκριμένα, διεξήχθη ποσοτική μελέτη, με ερευνητικό εργαλείο το ερωτηματολόγιο ατομικής συμπλήρωσης που απαρτίζονταν από την Αναθεωρημένη Κλίμακα Ανάπτυξης της Ταυτότητας των Ατόμων με Κώφωση (DIDS-R) και από το ερωτηματολόγιο Ποιότητας Ζωής του Παγκοσμίου Οργανισμού Υγείας (WHOQOL-BREF). Από τη στατιστική ανάλυση των αποτελεσμάτων, προέκυψαν σημαντικές διαφορές στην ποιότητα ζωής των ατόμων, καθώς οι κωφοί που ενστερνίστηκαν τη Διπολιτισμική και ταυτότητα Κωφών συνδέθηκαν με θετικά αποτελέσματα, σε αντίθεση με τα άτομα που ανέπτυξαν την Περιθωριοποιημένη αλλά και την ταυτότητα Ακουόντων. Επιπροσθέτως, διαπιστώθηκε πως η ύπαρξη ακουστικής ενίσχυσης, η μέθοδος επικοινωνίας που χρησιμοποιείται στην καθημερινότητα, η ηλικία εμφάνισης της αναπηρίας, οι εκπαιδευτικές εμπειρίες αλλά και το οικογενειακό και κοινωνικό περιβάλλον διαδραματίζουν καθοριστικό ρόλο στην ταυτότητα των ατόμων με Κώφωση. Ταυτοχρόνως, αναδείχθηκε η επίδραση ορισμένων δημογραφικών στοιχείων στην ποιότητα ζωής των συμμετεχόντων. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας μπορούν να αξιοποιηθούν με στόχο την πραγματοποίηση αλλαγών σε επίπεδο κοινωνίας, αναφορικά με τον τρόπο με τον οποίο αντιλαμβάνονται την Κώφωση τόσο τα ίδια τα άτομα με ακουστική αναπηρία όσο και ο κοινωνικός περίγυρος. | el |
| heal.abstract | The cultural identity developed by people with hearing loss has been of great concern to the scientific community in recent decades. This concept reflects the views and perceptions of individuals at various levels, an element that has a significant impact on their lives. The present study, with a sample of 155 people with Deafness, focused on investigating the effect that the identity of these people has on their quality of life. At the same time, the way in which the individual characteristics of people with Deafness affect the development of their identity and the various areas of their quality of life were examined. Specifically, a quantitative study was conducted, with the research tool the atomic completion questionnaire consisting of the Revised Deaf Identity Development Scale (DIDS-R) and the Global Quality of Life Questionnaire of World-WHO (WHO). The statistical analysis of the results revealed significant differences in the quality of life of the individuals, as the deaf who embraced the Bicultural and the Deaf identity were associated with positive results, in contrast to the individuals who developed the Marginal and the Hearing Identity. In addition, it was found that the existence of hearing aid, the method of communication used in everyday life, the age of onset of disability, educational experiences and the family and social environment play a key role in the identity of people with Deafness. At the same time, the effect of certain demographics on the quality of life of the participants was highlighted. The results of the research can be used with the aim of making changes at the societal level, in terms of the way in which Deafness is perceived by both the people with hearing impairments themselves and the social environment. | en |
