| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία επικεντρώνεται σε διάφορες πτυχές που αφορούν τη λειτουργία του Μητροπολιτικού Οικοτροφείου της Παραμυθιάς Θεσπρωτίας (1946-1981). Η ενασχόληση με το συγκεκριμένα θέμα κρίθηκε απαραίτητη διότι η προσφορά αυτού του οικοτροφείου σε ολόκληρη την Ήπειρο θα πρέπει να θεωρηθεί ως αδιαμφισβήτητο γεγονός. Ακόμη, κρίνεται χρήσιμη η διενέργεια έρευνας επειδή η βιβλιογραφία σχετικά με τη λειτουργία του είναι αρκετά περιορισμένη. Μέσω αυτής της εργασίας θα γίνει προσπάθεια να επαληθευτεί ο ισχυρισμός πως το εν λόγω ίδρυμα αποτέλεσε ένα ισχυρό έρεισμα για όλους τους νομούς της Ηπείρου. Η σπουδαιότητα αυτού του οικοτροφείου οφείλεται στο γεγονός ότι ιδρύθηκε σε μια δύσκολη ιστορική συγκυρία, αμέσως μετά τη λήξη της γερμανικής κατοχής, ενώ συνέχισε να λειτουργεί ακόμη και κάτω από τις αντίξοες συνθήκες που είχε δημιουργήσει ο ελληνικός εμφύλιος πόλεμος. Αυτό το ίδρυμα πρόσφερε στέγη σε νεαρά αγόρια που επιθυμούσαν να συνεχίσουν τις σπουδές τους στη δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση αλλά δε διέθεταν τα οικονομικά μέσα. Το μέγεθος της ευεργεσίας γίνεται ακόμα περισσότερο κατανοητό εάν αναλογιστούμε πως μέχρι και τη δεκαετία του 1960 η Παραμυθιά διέθετε το μοναδικό πλήρες Γυμνάσιο Άρη Θεσπρωτία. Έτσι, εάν συνυπολογιστούν και τα περιορισμένα μεταφορικά μέσα που υπήρχαν εκείνη την εποχή καθίσταται σαφές πως χάρη σε αυτό το άσυλο κατάφεραν χιλιάδες παιδιά να ξεπεράσουν τα εμπόδια της απόστασης και της οικονομικής πίεσης που θα τους κρατούσαν μακριά από τη σχολική αίθουσα. Ως εκ τούτου, με το να μπορούν να συνεχίσουν τα παιδιά τη φοίτησή τους σε μια τόσο ταραγμένη περίοδο βοήθησε στην ανάπτυξη συλλήβδην όλων των περιοχών της Ηπείρου. Για την πληρέστερη κάλυψη του θέματος, η μελέτη θα χωριστεί σε τρία βασικά μέρη. Στο πρώτο, περιλαμβάνονται εισαγωγικά στοιχεία και γίνεται προσπάθεια για σκιαγράφηση του πλαισίου εντός του οποίου λειτούργησε το ίδρυμα. Το δεύτερο και εκτενέστερο μέρος της εργασίας αποτελείται από κεφάλαια που επικεντρώνονται στην ίδρυση του οικοτροφείου, στο προσωπικό του και στην καθημερινή ρουτίνα των μαθητών σύμφωνα με τις πληροφορίες που αντλούνται από τη βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση. Η τελευταία και ενδεχομένως σημαντικότερη ενότητα περιλαμβάνει το ερευνητικό μέρος της διατριβής. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, επιλέχθηκαν 11 πρώην οικότροφοι που οι μαρτυρίες τους καλύπτουν το διάστημα από το 1946 έως το 1963. Η συλλογή των δεδομένων έγινε μέσω ημιδομημένων συνεντεύξεων που πραγματοποιήθηκαν για πρακτικούς λόγους μέσω τηλεφώνου. Τα συμπεράσματα που προέκυψαν μέσω αυτής της μελέτης μπορούν να συνοψιστούν στα ακόλουθα. Αναλύοντας τις μαρτυρίες των ερωτώμενων αποδεικνύεται πως το Οικοτροφείο Παραμυθιάς προσέφερε αρωγή και καθόρισε σε μεγάλο βαθμό την πορεία που ακολούθησε η πλειοψηφία των φιλοξενούμενων. Επιπρόσθετα, καθίσταται σαφές πως έχει αξία το να αναδεικνύονται παρόμοια θέματα τοπικού ενδιαφέροντος ώστε να μην περάσουν στη σφαίρα της λήθης ιδρύματα που υποστήριξαν την κοινωνία σε κομβικά σημεία της ιστορίας. Εν κατακλείδι, παρατηρείται πως η ενασχόληση με τέτοιου είδους ζητήματα υπερτονίζει τη διαχρονική και πανανθρώπινη αξία της ανιδιοτελούς προσφοράς στον συνάνθρωπο. | el |
| heal.abstract | This thesis focuses on various aspects concerning the operation of the Metropolitan Boarding House (1946-1981) of Paramythia (Thesprotia). Dealing with this issue was deemed necessary because the offer of this boarding house throughout Epirus should be considered as an indisputable fact. Also, it is considered useful to conduct this research because the literature about this topic is not enough extended. Through this work, an attempt will be made to verify the claim that this institution offered support to students from all the prefectures of Epirus. This boarding house was founded at a difficult historical juncture when the German occupation ended and continued to support children even under the adverse conditions created by the Greek civil war. This institution provided housing for young boys who were willing to continue to secondary education but did not have the financial means. The magnitude of its offer becomes even more understandable if we consider that until the 1960s Paramythia had the only complete High School in Thesprotia. Thus, if we take into account the limited means of transportation that existed at that time, it becomes clear that thanks to this asylum, thousands of children managed to overcome the obstacles of distance and financial pressure that would keep them away from school. Therefore, giving these children the opportunity to attend High School in such a turbulent period of time led to the development of all regions of Epirus. To achieve the best possible outcome, the content of the study will be divided into three main parts. In the first, introductory elements are included and an attempt is made to outline the conditions which affected the institution. The second and most extensive part of the work consists of chapters that focus on the establishment of this boarding house, its staff and the daily routine of the students according to the information obtained from the literature review. The last and possibly most important unit includes the research that is implemented for this dissertation. More precisely, 11 former interns were selected to give testimony about the experiences they had inside the institution. Those testimonies cover a period of time from 1946 to 1963. Data collection was done through semi-structured interviews conducted by telephone for practical reasons. The conclusions reached through this study can be summarized as follows. Utilizing the testimonies of the respondents, it turns out that the Paramythia Boarding House offered help and determined to some extent the future of the majority of the guests. In addition, it becomes clear that it is worthwhile to highlight similar issues of local interest in order to avoid falling into oblivion institutions that supported society when it was necessary. In conclusion, it is observed that dealing with such issues overemphasizes the universal and timeless value of selfless offering to the fellow human beings. | en |
