| heal.abstract | Η εργασία διερευνά την επανάχρηση ως σύνθετη αρχιτεκτονική και σχεδιαστική πρακτική, εξετάζοντας τη μετάβαση από το υφιστάμενο στο νέο μέσα από διαφορετικές στρατηγικές, βαθμούς επέμβασης και μεθοδολογικές προσεγγίσεις. Εξετάζεται η διαχρονική εξέλιξη της επανάχρησης, η σύνδεση της με την πολιτιστική και βιομηχανική κληρονομιά, καθώς και τα κριτήρια που καθορίζουν τη δυνατότητα προσαρμογής υφιστάμενων κτηρίων σε νέες λειτουργίες. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση αποδίδεται στις στρατηγικές της παρέμβασης, της ένθεσης και της προσθήκης, ως διαφορετικές εκφράσεις της σχέσης μεταξύ υφιστάμενου και νέου. Η εφαρμογή τους διερευνάται μέσω των περιπτώσεων La Fábrica, Elbphilharmonie και Shed 19, οι οποίες παρουσιάζουν διαφορετικούς βαθμούς μετασχηματισμού, αυτονομίας και αναστρεψιμότητας. Η συγκριτική ανάλυση αναδεικνύει την επανάχρηση ως διαδικασία διαμόρφωσης των ιδιαίτερων χαρακτηριστικών κάθε κτηρίου, τις λειτουργικές απαιτήσεις και το κοινωνικό και αστικό πλαίσιο, συμβάλλοντας παράλληλα στη διατήρηση της μνήμης, της ιστορικής συνέχειας και στην επανενεργοποίηση του υφιστάμενου κτηριακού αποθέματος. | el |
| heal.abstract | The paper explores adaptive reuse as a complex architectural and design practice, examining the transition from the existing to the new through different strategies, degrees of intervention, and methodological approaches. It investigates the historical evolution of adaptive reuse, its relationship with cultural and industrial heritage, and the criteria that determine the potential of existing buildings to accommodate new functions. Particular emphasis is placed on the strategies of intervention, insertion, and addition, as distinct expressions of the relationship between the existing and the new. Their application is explored through the case studies of La Fábrica, Elbphilharmonie, and Shed 19, which demonstrate varying degrees of transformation, autonomy, and reversibility. The comparative analysis highlights adaptive reuse as a process shaped by the specific characteristics of each building, its functional requirements, and its social and urban context, while contributing to the preservation of memory and historical continuity, as well as to the reactivation of the existing building stock. | en |
