| heal.abstract | Με σημείο εκκίνησης μια αναζήτηση της δυνητικής αισθησιακής διάστασης της αρχιτεκτονικής, η παρούσα εργασία επιλέγει να διερευνήσει τη συνειδητή ή ασυνείδητη ερωτική ―ή ακόμη και «σεξουαλική»― σχέση που συνάπτει μαζί της ένα εξωτερικό σώμα-υποκείμενο, επιχειρώντας παράλληλα να αναδείξει τη δυνατότητα του ίδιου του χώρου να συνιστά, όχι μόνο το αντικείμενο ή το περιβάλλον όπου αυτή η σχέση λαμβάνει χώρα, αλλά και ένα από τα καθοριστικά υποκείμενα, αν όχι τον βασικό υποκινητή της. Με αναφορές που μπορεί να εκτείνονται από την ιστορία της αρχιτεκτονικής και τη θεωρία της ψυχολογίας έως την ερωτική λογοτεχνία του 19ου αιώνα και την σύγχρονη κινηματογραφική τέχνη, η εν λόγω διερεύνηση επιχειρεί να αναδείξει πώς ―χάρη στη διαφάνεια και τις οπτικές φυγές που ενεργοποιούνται από τα επιμέρους ανοίγματα ή τις διαφορετικές στάθμες― ο αρχιτεκτονικός χώρος μπορεί να λειτουργεί ταυτόχρονα ως σκηνή, ως αντικείμενο της επιθυμίας, αλλά και ως σώμα ―ως ενεργός πρωταγωνιστής μιας ερωτικής ιστορίας― κυρίως, όμως, ως μηχανισμός αποπλάνησης, αισθησιακότητας και ερωτικής επιθυμίας. | el |
| heal.abstract | Beginning with an inquiry into the potential sensual dimension of architecture, this research aims to investigate the conscious or unconscious erotic - or even “sexual” -relationship established between architecture and an external body-subject, while also examining the possibility of space itself transcending its role as merely the object or setting within which such a relationship takes place, becoming an active agent of desire and, ultimately, one of its primary instigators. Drawing upon references extending from the history of architecture and theories of psychology to nineteenth-century erotic literature and contemporary cinema, the research aims to explore the ways in which architectural space - through the transparency and visual perspectives activated by individual openings, as well as by variations in level - may operate simultaneously as a stage, an object of desire and a body - an active protagonist within an erotic narrative. Above all, however, the research examines architecture as a mechanism of seduction, sensuality and erotic desire. | en |
