Communication is very important for people to successfully integrate into the social environment and to create and maintain relationships. In particular, language difficulties lead to social exclusion of people suffering from Alzheimer's disease (NA) and contribute to a significant reduction in their quality of life and also have a great impact on their family members who in most cases become their caregivers they must communicate with their loved ones to meet their needs. Therefore, the aim of this study is to describe the language impairments in the individual phases of AD and to discuss their improvement in relation to AD based on the literature review. The present work uses traditional research methods to achieve the previously stated objective. First, a bibliographic review method of the available sources describing language impairments in the individual phases of AD is utilized. Then, to illustrate how informal caregivers and related medications can successfully intervene to improve these language disorders, a method of comparing different research studies investigating such social intervention and medical treatment is used. Finally, the role of speech therapy in Alzheimer's is presented and the relevant conclusions obtained from the work are listed.en
