| heal.abstract | Η τεχνολογική πρόοδος των τελευταίων δεκαετιών έχει αλλάξει ριζικά τον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι άνθρωποι επικοινωνούν, εργάζονται και αλληλοεπιδρούν με τον κόσμο γύρω τους. Από τις πιο χαρακτηριστικές αλλαγές είναι η εξέλιξη των smartphones, που έχουν μεταμορφώσει την καθημερινότητα, κάνοντας την πληροφορία, την επικοινωνία και πολλές υπηρεσίες άμεσα διαθέσιμες. Από την εμφάνιση του πρώτου iPhone το 2007 έως τη σημερινή εποχή της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης και του 5G, τα smartphones έγιναν αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της ζωής μας (Apple, 2007· ITU, 2024). Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι να εξετάσει αυτή την «επανάσταση» και τον αντίκτυπό της στη σύγχρονη ζωή, αναλύοντας κοινωνικές, οικονομικές, τεχνολογικές και περιβαλλοντικές διαστάσεις. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, η εργασία διερευνά: • Πώς εξελίχθηκαν τα smartphones από τις πρώτες φορητές συσκευές επικοινωνίας στα σημερινά «έξυπνα» τηλέφωνα. • Την επίδρασή τους στις κοινωνικές σχέσεις, την ψυχική υγεία και την ενημέρωση. • Τον ρόλο τους στην εκπαίδευση και την εργασία. • Τις επιπτώσεις τους στην παγκόσμια οικονομία και τη βιομηχανία τεχνολογίας. • Τα περιβαλλοντικά προβλήματα που συνδέονται με την παραγωγή και την απόρριψη των smartphones. | el |
| heal.abstract | Technological progress in recent decades has greatly changed the way people communicate, work, and interact with the world around them. One of the most important changes is the development of smartphones, which have transformed everyday life by making information, communication, and many services quickly and easily available. From the release of the first iPhone in 2007 to today’s era of artificial intelligence and 5G, smartphones have become an essential part of our lives (Apple, 2007; ITU, 2024). The purpose of this assignment is to examine this “revolution” and its impact on modern life, by looking at social, economic, technological, and environmental aspects. More specifically, the assignment explores: • How smartphones have evolved from early mobile communication devices into today’s “smart” phones. • Their impact on social relationships, mental health, and access to information. • Their role in education and work. • Their effects on the global economy and the technology industry. • The environmental problems related to the production and disposal of smartphones. | en |
