heal.abstractΗ παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή εργασία εξετάζει την έννοια της μουσικής στη φιλοσοφία του Άρθουρ Σόπενχαουερ και τη θέση που αυτή κατέχει στο πλαίσιο της αισθητικής και της μεταφυσικής του. Αρχικά παρουσιάζονται βασικές έννοιες της φιλοσοφίας του, όπως η παράσταση, η βούληση και οι Ιδέες, οι οποίες αποτελούν το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο για την κατανόηση της τέχνης. Στη συνέχεια εξετάζεται η θέση των επιμέρους τεχνών στην αισθητική του θεωρία και αναδεικνύεται η ιδιαίτερη θέση της μουσικής, η οποία, σε αντίθεση με τις υπόλοιπες τέχνες, δεν αποτελεί αναπαράσταση των Ιδεών αλλά άμεση έκφραση της βούλησης. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δίνεται στη μελωδία, την αρμονία και τον ρυθμό, καθώς και στην αντιστοιχία που θεμελιώνει ο Σόπενχαοθερ ανάμεσα στη μουσική και τον κόσμο. Παράλληλα εξετάζεται η σχέση της μουσικής με το συναίσθημα και παρουσιάζεται συγκριτικά η προσέγγιση του Χέγκελ, προκειμένου να αναδειχθούν βασικές ομοιότητες και διαφορές μεταξύ των δύο φιλοσόφων ως προς τη μουσική και τη συναισθηματική της διάσταση. Τέλος, λαμβάνονται υπόψη κριτικές προσεγγίσεις σχετικά με τη φιλοσοφική θεμελίωση της ιδιαίτερης μεταφυσικής σημασίας που αποδίδει ο Schopenhauer στη μουσική.el
heal.abstractThis master's thesis examines the concept of music in Arthur Schopenhauer's philosophy and its place within his aesthetics and metaphysics. It initially presents fundamental concepts of his philosophy, such as representation, the will, and the Ideas, which provide the theoretical background for understanding art. It then examines the position of the individual arts within his aesthetic theory and highlights the distinctive status of music, which, unlike the other arts, is not a representation of the Ideas but a direct expression of the will. Particular emphasis is placed on melody, harmony, and rhythm, as well as on the correspondence that Schopenhauer establishes between music and the world. The relationship between music and emotion is also examined, together with a comparative discussion of Hegel's approach, in order to identify key similarities and differences between the two philosophers concerning music and its emotional dimension. Finally, critical approaches to the philosophical foundation of the distinctive metaphysical significance that Schopenhauer attributes to music are taken into consideration.en
