| heal.abstract | Η διγλωσσία αποτελεί ένα ολοένα και συχνότερο φαινόμενο της σύγχρονης κοινωνίας και συνδέεται άμεσα με αντιλήψεις και μύθους που αφορούν την επιρροή της στην ανάπτυξη του λόγου και της επικοινωνίας σε παιδιά προσχολικής και σχολικής ηλικίας. Παρότι, οι έρευνες δείχνουν πως η έκθεση σε δυο γλώσσες δεν συνεπάγεται αυτομάτως κάποια γλωσσική διαταραχή, έντονη είναι η ανησυχία των γονέων ότι η διγλωσσία μπορεί να προκαλέσει ή να επιδεινώσει τις διαταραχές επικοινωνίας. Η στάση των γονέων και οι αντιλήψεις τους κρίνονται ιδιαίτερα σημαντικές, καθώς επηρεάζουν τη γλωσσική ανατροφή και τη μετέπειτα εκπαίδευση των παιδιών τους. Σκοπός της παρούσας πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η καταγραφή, κατανόηση και σύνθεση της υπάρχουσας βιβλιογραφίας όσον αφορά τις γονικές αντιλήψεις και στάσεις σχετικά με τη διγλωσσία και τη σχέση της με τις διαταραχές επικοινωνίας σε παιδιά σχολικής και προσχολικής ηλικίας. Η εργασία ακολουθεί τη μεθοδολογία μιας αφηγηματικής ανασκόπησης και πραγματοποιήθηκε από τον Μάρτιο έως τον Ιούνιο του 2026, με στόχο την ανάδειξη των βασικών θεματικών που εντοπίζονται στη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία καθώς και ερευνητικών κενών που χρήζουν περαιτέρω διερεύνησης. Τα ευρήματα της ανασκόπησης καταδεικνύουν πως οι γονείς αναγνωρίζουν σε μεγάλο βαθμό τα οφέλη της διγλωσσίας και συχνά επιθυμούν την ανάπτυξη δίγλωσσων δεξιοτήτων στα παιδιά τους . Παρ’ όλα αυτά, παραμένει έντονη η ανησυχία για το αν και κατά πόσο η διγλωσσία επηρεάζει τη γλωσσική ανάπτυξη των παιδιών τους. Συνεπώς, αναδεικνύεται η ανάγκη για έγκυρη ενημέρωση των γονέων αλλά και για περαιτέρω κλινική έρευνα όσον αφορά την επιρροή της διγλωσσίας στις διαταραχές επικοινωνίας. | el |
| heal.abstract | Bilingualism is an increasingly common phenomenon in modern society and is closely associated with perceptions and myths regarding its impact on language and communication development in preschool and school-aged children. Although research indicates that exposure to two languages does not automatically lead to language disorders, there remains significant parental concern that bilingualism may cause or worsen communication disorders. Parents’ attitudes and beliefs are considered particularly important, as they influence children’s language upbringing and their subsequent education. The aim of this undergraduate thesis is to document, analyze, and synthesize the existing literature on parental perceptions and attitudes towards bilingualism and its relationship to communication disorders in preschool- and school-aged children. The study follows a narrative review methodology and was conducted between March and June 2026, aiming at highlighting the main themes identified in the international bibliography, as well as research gaps that require further investigation. The findings of the review indicate that parents largely recognize the benefits of bilingualism and often desire to develop bilingual skills in their children. Nevertheless, there is still strong concern about how much bilingualism affects, and whether it affects, the language development of their children. Therefore, the need for accurate parental guidance and further clinical research on the impact of bilingualism on communication disorders is emphasized. | en |
