| heal.abstract | Τα ιδιοπαθή φλεγμονώδη νοσήματα του εντέρου (ΙΦΝΕ) αποτελούν χρόνιες παθήσεις που επηρεάζουν σημαντικά τόσο τη σωματική όσο και την ψυχική υγεία των ασθενών. Το άγχος και η κατάθλιψη εμφανίζονται συχνά στους ασθενείς αυτούς και συνδέονται με μειωμένη ποιότητα ζωής. Υλικό και Μέθοδος Πραγματοποιήθηκε ποσοτική, διατομεακή μελέτη σε δείγμα 100 ασθενών με ΙΦΝΕ. Η συλλογή των δεδομένων έγινε με δια ζώσης συμπλήρωση ερωτηματολογίων. Χρησιμοποιήθηκαν το Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) για την αξιολόγηση άγχους και κατάθλιψης και το SF-36 για την εκτίμηση της ποιότητας ζωής. Η στατιστική ανάλυση πραγματοποιήθηκε με το πρόγραμμα SPSS. Αποτελέσματα Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν αυξημένα επίπεδα άγχους σε σημαντικό ποσοστό των συμμετεχόντων, ενώ τα επίπεδα κατάθλιψης ήταν χαμηλότερα. Διαπιστώθηκε αρνητική συσχέτιση μεταξύ ποιότητας ζωής και άγχους, καθώς και μεταξύ ποιότητας ζωής και κατάθλιψης. Παράλληλα, καταγράφηκε ισχυρή θετική συσχέτιση μεταξύ άγχους και κατάθλιψης (r=0,68, p<0,001). Συμπεράσματα Η ψυχολογική επιβάρυνση επηρεάζει ουσιαστικά την ποιότητα ζωής των ασθενών με ΙΦΝΕ. Η συστηματική αξιολόγηση της ψυχικής υγείας μπορεί να συμβάλει στη βελτίωση της συνολικής φροντίδας και της καθημερινής λειτουργικότητας των ασθενών. | el |
| heal.abstract | Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are chronic conditions that significantly affect both physical and psychological health. Anxiety and depression are common among patients with IBD and are closely associated with reduced quality of life. Material and Methods A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 100 patients diagnosed with IBD. Data was collected through face-to-face administration of questionnaires. The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) was used to assess anxiety and depression, while quality of life was evaluated using the SF-36 questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software. Results The findings showed increased anxiety levels in a considerable proportion of participants, whereas depression levels were lower but still clinically relevant. A negative correlation was found between quality of life and anxiety, as well as between quality of life and depression. In addition, a strong positive correlation was identified between anxiety and depression (r = 0.68, p < 0.001). Conclusions Psychological burden has a substantial impact on the quality of life of patients with IBD. Systematic assessment of mental health may contribute to improved overall care and better daily functioning of affected individuals. | en |
