heal.abstractΗ πόλη και το Τρίτο Τοπίο (Third Landscape, Gilles Clément) αναγνωρίζονται και παρουσιάζονται ως κοινωνικό-χωρικές οντότητες που αλληλεπιδρούν και αλληλεξαρτώνται ακολουθώντας μια συστημική λογική, παράγοντας νέες χωρικές συνθήκες. Η πόλη δεν είναι μόνο κτίρια και δρόμοι, αλλά ένα σύστημα σχέσεων, χρήσεων και εμπειριών που εξελίσσεται στον χρόνο. Αντίστοιχα, το Τρίτο Τοπίο μπορεί να ιδωθεί ως υποσύστημα μέσα στο μεγαλύτερο σύστημα της πόλης, το οποίο επηρεάζει την κοινωνική ζωή, την κινητικότητα και την αίσθηση του δημόσιου χώρου. Η πόλη, ως οργανικό σύστημα, μεταβάλλεται και επεκτείνεται, δημιουργώντας εντός του αστικού ιστού υπολειμματικούς χώρους. Αυτοί οι χώροι - από ολόκληρα οικοδομικά τετράγωνα έως μικρά κενά, ρωγμές ή αδρανείς επιφάνειες - αναδεικνύονται ως εν δυνάμει Τρίτα Τοπία. Δεν πρέπει να αντιμετωπίζονται ως μεμονωμένα «κενά», αλλά ως λειτουργικά στοιχεία του συστήματος της πόλης, που μπορούν να ενισχύσουν την αστική εμπειρία σε πολλά επίπεδα: περιβαλλοντικά, χωρικά και λειτουργικά. Τα Τρίτα Τοπία αποτελούν σημεία αυθόρμητης φυσικής αναγέννησης, βιοποικιλότητας και ανεπίσημης αστικότητας. Έτσι προσφέρουν ένα διαφορετικό υπόστρωμα κατανόησης της σχέσης μεταξύ δομημένου και αδόμητου, ενώ η αλληλεπίδραση του αστικού συστήματος με το υποσύστημα του Τρίτου Τοπίου παράγει νέες δυνατότητες χωρικού σχεδιασμού και συλλογικών αστικών εμπειριώ.el
heal.abstractThe city and the Third Landscape (Gilles Clément) are recognized and presented as socio-spatial entities that interact and are interdependent according to systemic logic, producing new spatial conditions. The city is not only buildings and streets but also a system of relationships, uses, and experiences that evolve over time. Accordingly, the Third Landscape can be seen as a subsystem within the larger system of the city, which affects social mobility and the sense of public space. The city, as an organic system, changes and expands, creating residual space within the urban fabric. These spaces - from entire building blocks to small gaps, cracks, or inert surfaces - emerge as potential Third Landscapes. They should not be seen as isolated “gaps,” but as functional elements of the city system, which can enhance the urban experience on many levels: environmental, spatial, and functional. Third Landscapes are sites of spontaneous natural regeneration, biodiversity, and informal urbanity. Thus, they offer a different substrate for understanding the relationship between the built and the unbuilt, while the interaction of the urban system with the Third Landscape system produces new possibilities for spatial planning and collective urban experience.en
