| heal.abstract | Η διπλωματική μου εργασία έχει τίτλο «Κατοικώντας στην κλίση: Συγκρότημα φοιτητικών κατοικιών με δώματα ως κοινόχρηστα επίπεδα ζωής». Η ιδέα της πρότασης είναι ο σχεδιασμός ενός συγκροτήματος φοιτητικών κατοικιών με πολλαπλά κοινόχρηστα επίπεδα-δώματα που θα λειτουργεί ως ένα δυναμικό τοπίο κατοίκησης, όπου τα δώματα δεν είναι απλά επίπεδες επιφάνειες, αλλά διαμορφώνονται σαν τεχνητό τοπίο, με διαφορές ύψους, κλίσεις και διαβαθμίσεις, δημιουργώντας έναν συνεχή, οργανικό χώρο όπου οι φοιτητές κινούνται, συναντιούνται και αλληλεπιδρούν. Το κεντρικό concept συνοψίζεται στη φράση: «Το δώμα του ενός είναι η αυλή του άλλου». Το οικόπεδο, βρίσκεται στο λόφο Βελισσαρίου στα Ιωάννινα. Είναι εντός αστικού ιστού, έχει έντονη κλίση, ώστε η ιδέα των διαδοχικών δωμάτων να μπορεί να ενταχθεί φυσικά στο έδαφος. Επίσης προσφέρει πανοραμική θέα σε όλη την πόλη και επιτρέπει στον παρατηρητή να βλέπει το περιβάλλον περιμετρικά και σε πολύ μεγάλη έκταση. Η σύνθεση οργανώνεται με μια ακτινική λογική. Οι κατοικίες ανοίγουν σταδιακά πάνω στην κλίση, σαν βεντάλια, ακολουθώντας το ανάγλυφο και διαμορφώνοντας διαδοχικά επίπεδα. Κάθε επίπεδο δημιουργεί ένα νέο δώμα, το οποίο λειτουργεί ως αυλή για την επόμενη κατοικία. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο: δημιουργείται μια συνεχής διαδρομή, συνδυάζοντας υπαίθριους και ημιυπαίθριους χώρους, και το σύνολο αποκτά έναν δημόσιο χαρακτήρα. Στο ανώτερο σημείο του οικοπέδου τοποθετείται το δημόσιο κτίριο. Η επιλογή της θέσης του στο ψηλότερο επίπεδο ενισχύει τον δημόσιο χαρακτήρα του και του επιτρέπει να λειτουργεί ως σημείο αναφοράς τόσο για τους κατοίκους όσο και για επισκέπτες από τη γύρω περιοχή. Γύρω από αυτό αναπτύσσονται διαμορφωμένοι δημόσιοι χώροι με διαδρομές, καθιστικά και υψηλή φύτευση. Τα δέντρα δημιουργούν σκιά και οριοθετούν ήπιες ζώνες παραμονής. Καταλήγοντας, η πρόταση επιχειρεί να επαναπροσδιορίσει: τη σχέση κατοικίας και εδάφους, τη χρήση του δώματος, και τη σύνδεση ιδιωτικού και δημόσιου χώρου. Η κλίση του λόφου δεν αντιμετωπίζεται ως εμπόδιο, αλλά ως το στοιχείο που επιτρέπει τη δημιουργία μιας διαδοχικής δομής κατοίκησης. Η πρόταση φιλοδοξεί να δείξει ότι η φοιτητική κατοικία μπορεί να είναι κάτι περισσότερο από μια μονάδα διαμονής: μπορεί να είναι ένα μικρό κομμάτι πόλης, οργανωμένο γύρω από κοινά επίπεδα ζωής, απαντώντας παράλληλα και σε ένα ρεαλιστικό πρόβλημα της εποχής που είναι η στέγαση των φοιτητών στην πόλη. | el |
| heal.abstract | My diploma thesis is titled: “Living on the slope: A student housing complex with roof terraces as shared living spaces” The main idea of the proposal is the design of a student housing complex with multiple shared roof-terrace levels that functions as a dynamic landscape of habitation. The terraces are not treated simply as flat surfaces, but are shaped as an artificial landscape with height differences, slopes, and gradations, creating a continuous and organic space where students move, meet, and interact. The concept is summarized in the phrase: “One person’s roof is another person’s courtyard.” The site is located on Velissariou Hill in Ioannina. It lies within the urban fabric and has a steep slope, allowing the idea of successive roof terraces to integrate naturally with the terrain. The site also offers panoramic views of the entire city, enabling the observer to perceive the surrounding environment in all directions and across a wide area. The composition is organized according to a radial logic. The housing units gradually open along the slope like a fan, following the topography and forming successive levels. Each level creates a new roof terrace that functions as the courtyard for the next dwelling. In this way, a continuous route is formed, combining outdoor and semi-outdoor spaces, and the overall complex acquires a public character. At the highest point of the site, a public building is placed. Its position at the uppermost level reinforces its public character and allows it to function as a landmark both for the residents and for visitors from the surrounding area. Around it, landscaped public spaces are developed with pathways, seating areas, and tall vegetation. The trees provide shade and define calm areas for gathering and staying. In conclusion, the proposal attempts to redefine: the relationship between dwelling and terrain, the use of the roof terrace, and the connection between private and public space. The slope of the hill is not treated as an obstacle, but as the element that enables the creation of a sequential structure of habitation. The project aspires to demonstrate that student housing can be more than just a unit of accommodation: it can become a small piece of city, organized around shared levels of living, while also responding to a realistic contemporary issue—the housing of students in the city. | en |
