| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα διδακτορική διατριβή φιλοδοξεί να διερευνήσει την κατανόηση της αρεντιανής πολιτικής σκέψης, ακολουθώντας δύο διακριτούς άξονες: την κριτική ανασκευή των επιχειρημάτων της πολιτικής φαινομενολογίας της, και αφετέρου την τοποθέτησή της σε διάλογο με τις σύγχρονες βιοπολιτικές προσεγγίσεις, αναδεικνύοντας το πολιτικό της όραμα. Αρχικά, η ανάλυση επικεντρώνεται στην αρεντιανή ανασυγκρότηση της έννοιας της πράξης και του πολιτικού. Εξετάζεται ο τρόπος με τον οποίο η πρώιμη φαινομενολογική οικειοποίηση και αναμόρφωση της αριστοτελικής πράξης, σε συνδυασμό με την επίδραση της φαινομενολογικής οντολογίας του Martin Heidegger, οδηγεί την Άρεντ στη διαμόρφωση της φαινομενολογικής δομής της πολλότητας και στην οντολογία της δημόσιας σφαίρας. Σε δεύτερο επίπεδο, η έρευνα εμβαθύνει στις βιοπολιτικές συνιστώσες της αρεντιανής πολιτικής φαινομενολογίας, σε αντιπαραβολή με τις κύριες θέσεις της σύγχρονης βιοπολιτικής θεωρίας, όπως διαμορφώθηκε από τον Michel Foucault και τον Giorgio Agamben. Η διατριβή, μέσω κριτικής ανάλυσης του έργου της Άρεντ, αναδεικνύει τη βιοπολιτική διαπλοκή του πολιτικού και του βιολογικού βίου στη νεωτερικότητα καλύπτοντας το φάσμα από τη βιοπολιτική κανονικοποίηση στη μαζική κοινωνία έως την ολοκληρωτική θανατοπολιτική της «γυμνής ζωής» στα στρατόπεδα συγκέντρωσης. Στο πλαίσιο της εν λόγω πραγμάτευσης, αναδεικνύεται η θεμελιώδης σημασία της έννοιας της γεννητικότητας για τη σκέψη της Άρεντ. Αποτελεί κομβική αντίστιξη στις βιοπολιτικές μορφές εξουσίας που επιδιώκουν την ομογενοποίηση και τον απόλυτο έλεγχο της ζωής, αντιπροσωπεύοντας τη δυνατότητα για μια νέα ανθρώπινη αρχή και πολιτική δράση. Το τρίτο και καταληκτικό μέρος αφιερώνεται στην αρεντιανή πολιτική φαινομενολογία, αναδεικνύοντάς την ως γόνιμο παράδειγμα για τη διαμόρφωση μιας σύγχρονης φαινομενολογικής οντολογίας. Διερευνώνται οι δυνατότητες ενός διαπαραδειγματικού διαλόγου μεταξύ της βιοπολιτικής και της πολιτικής φαινομενολογίας, αναζητώντας θεωρητικά εργαλεία για την ερμηνεία των σύγχρονων πολιτικών κρίσεων. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δίνεται στην εφαρμογή της αρεντιανής σκέψης στο βιοπολιτικό παράδειγμα της πανδημίας του COVID-19. Μέσω της ανάλυσης των πολιτικών διαστάσεων της διαχείρισης, αναζητείται η προοπτική θεμελίωσης του πολιτικού σε μία νέα φαινομενολογική ανθρωπολογία, ικανή να αντιμετωπίσει τις προκλήσεις της σύγχρονης βιοπολιτικής. | el |
| heal.abstract | This doctoral dissertation aims to explore the understanding of Arendtian political thought along two distinct axes: the critical reconstruction of the arguments of her political phenomenology, and its placement in dialogue with contemporary biopolitical approaches, thereby highlighting her political vision. Initially, the analysis focuses on the Arendtian reconstruction of the concept of action and the political. It examines how the early phenomenological appropriation and reshaping of Aristotelian praxis, combined with the influence of Martin Heidegger’s phenomenological ontology, led Arendt to formulate the phenomenological structure of plurality and an ontology of the public sphere. At a second level, the research delves into the biopolitical components of Arendtian political phenomenology, in counterpoint to the main tenets of contemporary biopolitical theory as shaped by Michel Foucault and Giorgio Agamben. Through a critical analysis of Arendt's work, the thesis highlights the biopolitical entanglement of the political (bios) and the biological life (zoē) in modernity, covering the spectrum from biopolitical normalization in mass society to the totalitarian thanatopolitics of 'bare life' in concentration camps. Within this framework, the fundamental significance of the concept of natality in Arendt’s thought is underscored. Natality serves as a pivotal counterpoint to biopolitical forms of authority that seek homogenization and the absolute control of life, representing the potential for a new human beginning and political action. The third and concluding part is dedicated to Arendtian political phenomenology, presenting it as a generative paradigm for the formation of a contemporary phenomenological ontology. It explores the possibilities of an inter-paradigmatic dialogue between biopolitics and political phenomenology, seeking theoretical tools for the interpretation of contemporary political crises. Particular emphasis is placed on the application of Arendtian thought to the biopolitical paradigm of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through an analysis of the political dimensions of its management, the study seeks the prospect of grounding the political in a new phenomenological anthropology, capable of addressing the challenges of contemporary biopolitics. | en |
