| heal.abstract | Στην παρούσα εργασία εξετάζεται το συνθετικό έργο του Σωτήρη Γαβαλά, όπως αποτυπώνεται στους δίσκους των 78 στροφών, σε συνάρτηση με το ευρύτερο κοινωνικοπολιτισμικό πλαίσιο της εποχής του Μεσοπολέμου, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη δισκογραφία ως καθοριστικό παράγοντα. Παρουσιάζονται οι συνθήκες και τα πρόσωπα που συνέβαλαν στη σύσταση και διαμόρφωση του ρεπερτορίου του συνθέτη, μέσα από μια συνολική θεώρηση της εξέλιξης του ρεμπέτικου, ενώ παράλληλα εξετάζονται και ερμηνεύονται τα μουσικολογικά ευρήματα που προκύπτουν από τις καταγραφές. Η προσέγγιση αυτή εντάσσεται σε μια προσπάθεια σκιαγράφησης της εξέλιξης του αστικού λαϊκού τραγουδιού και ανάδειξης των επιμέρους εκδοχών του, πριν από το τέλος της κλασικής περιόδου του ρεμπέτικου. | el |
| heal.abstract | This paper examines the compositional work of Sotiris Gavalas as documented in 78 rpm recordings, in relation to the broader sociocultural context of the Interwar period, with particular emphasis on the recording industry as a determining factor. It presents the conditions and individuals that contributed to the establishment and shaping of the composer’s repertoire, through a comprehensive view of the evolution of rebetiko, while also analysing and interpreting the musicological findings derived from the recordings. This approach contributes to outlining the development of urban popular song and highlighting its distinct variants, prior to the end of the classical rebetiko period. | en |
