| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία αποτελεί συστηματική βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση με αντικείμενο τη χρήση του ερωτηματολογίου Voice Handicap Index (VHI-30) ως εργαλείου αξιολόγησης για τη μελέτη των διαταραχών φωνής. Στόχος ήταν η καταγραφή, αποτύπωση και ανάλυση ερευνών που εξετάζουν την ψυχομετρική του επάρκεια, την κλινική του εφαρμογή και τη διαπολιτισμική του προσαρμογή σε διαφορετικούς πληθυσμούς. Για τη διασφάλιση της διαφάνειας και της μεθοδολογικής εγκυρότητας, ακολουθήθηκε το πρότυπο PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses), το οποίο επέτρεψε τη συστηματική οργάνωση των πηγών και τον σαφή καθορισμό κριτηρίων ένταξης και αποκλεισμού. Η αναζήτηση πραγματοποιήθηκε σε διεθνείς βάσεις δεδομένων (PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar) με λέξεις-κλειδιά σχετικές με το VHI-30, τις διαταραχές φωνής και την ψυχομετρική ανάλυση. Από τα 300 αρχικά άρθρα που εντοπίστηκαν, 30 πληρούσαν τα κριτήρια και συμπεριλήφθηκαν στην παρούσα ανασκόπηση. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι το VHI-30 αποτελεί ένα από τα πλέον αξιόπιστα εργαλεία αξιολόγησης, με υψηλή εσωτερική συνοχή (Cronbach’s alpha > 0.90), σταθερή τρισδιάστατη δομή (λειτουργική, σωματική, συναισθηματική) και ισχυρές συσχετίσεις με άλλες κλινικές και ακουστικές μετρήσεις. Επιπλέον, φάνηκε ευαίσθητο στην ανίχνευση αλλαγών μετά από θεραπευτικές παρεμβάσεις, ενώ η διαπολιτισμική του εφαρμογή το καθιστά χρήσιμο σε διαφορετικά γλωσσικά και κοινωνικά πλαίσια. Συμπερασματικά, η βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση κατέδειξε ότι το VHI-30 είναι ένα πολύτιμο εργαλείο για την κλινική πράξη, την έρευνα και την παρακολούθηση της θεραπευτικής πορείας ασθενών με φωνητικές διαταραχές. Παρά τους περιορισμούς (ετερογένεια μελετών, διαφορετικά δείγματα πληθυσμών), η ευρεία χρήση του αποδεικνύει τη σημασία του στη σύγχρονη φωνοπαθολογία και λογοθεραπεία. | el |
| heal.abstract | This thesis presents a systematic literature review focusing on the use of the Voice Handicap Index (VHI-30) as an assessment tool for voice disorders. The main aim was to record, map, and analyze studies investigating its psychometric properties, clinical applications, and cross-cultural adaptations across different populations. To ensure transparency and methodological rigor, the study followed the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, which provided a structured framework for the organization of sources and the definition of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Literature searches were conducted in international databases (PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar) using keywords related to voice disorders, dysphonia, and the VHI-30. Out of 300 initially identified articles, 30 met the criteria and were included in the review. Findings revealed that the VHI-30 is one of the most reliable instruments for assessing voice disorders, consistently demonstrating high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha > 0.90), a stable three-factor structure (functional, physical, emotional), and strong correlations with other clinical and acoustic measures. Furthermore, the VHI-30 proved sensitive to changes following therapeutic interventions, while its cross-cultural adaptations confirmed its applicability across diverse linguistic and sociocultural contexts. In conclusion, the systematic review highlights the VHI-30 as a valuable tool for both clinical practice and research, supporting diagnosis, monitoring treatment outcomes, and advancing knowledge in the field of voice pathology. Despite limitations such as study heterogeneity and variable sample characteristics, the widespread adoption of the VHI-30 underscores its significance in contemporary speech-language pathology and voice therapy. | en |
