heal.abstractΣτο πλαίσιο της υπό εξέταση μεταπτυχιακής διπλωματικής εργασίας θα μελετηθεί η έννοια του ηθικού προσώπου υπό το πρίσμα της ηθικής φιλοσοφίας του Immanuel Kant. Επιπροσθέτως, θα εξεταστούν οι προεκτάσεις, καθώς και οι διαφοροποιημένες εκδοχές της καντιανής ηθικής φιλοσοφίας στο φως σύγχρονων καντιανών καταβολών ηθικών θεωριών. Στη σύγχρονη ιατρική πρακτική, λόγω – μεταξύ άλλων – και της ραγδαίας ανάπτυξης των βιοϊατρικών τεχνολογιών, τίθενται με νέους όρους ηθικοί προβληματισμοί της νεότερης ηθικής, που οφείλουν να επικαιροποιηθούν και να προσαρμοστούν στα νέα δεδομένα της επιστήμης και της κοινωνίας. Η έννοια του προσώπου είναι κεντρικής σημασίας, καθώς οι πρόσφατες τεχνοεπιστημονικές εξελίξεις θέτουν στο επίκεντρο την ολοένα αυξανόμενη δυνατότητα παρέμβασης στην ανθρώπινη φύση και τον επαναπροσδιορισμό καταστάσεων, όπως της υγείας, της ασθένειας, της αναπηρίας, ακόμη, και της έσχατης ανθρώπινης συνθήκης, που είναι ο θάνατος. Στην προτεινόμενη μεταπτυχιακή εργασία η έννοια του ηθικού προσώπου, όπως αυτή γίνεται αντικείμενο επεξεργασίας από τον Immanuel Kant και τους σύγχρονους επιγόνους του, θα αξιοποιηθεί εντός δύο πεδίων εφαρμογής – αφενός, της γενετικής μηχανικής και, αφετέρου, των τεχνολογιών που εμπλέκουν την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη για ζητήματα παροχών υγείας και περίθαλψης, ζητήματα που βρίσκονται στην αιχμή του διεπιστημονικού ενδιαφέροντος που εμπλέκει η σύγχρονη ιατρική ηθική.el
heal.abstractIn the context of the proposed master’s thesis, the concept of moral person will be examined in light of Immanuel Kant’s moral philosophy. In addition, the extensions as well as the differentiated versions of Kantian moral philosophy will be examined in light of contemporary Kantian origins of moral theories. In contemporary medical practice, due – among other things – to the rapid development of biomedical technologies, ethical considerations of modern ethics are posed in new terms, which should be updated and adapted to the new facts of science and society. The concept of person is of central importance, as recent techno-scientific developments focus on the ever-increasing possibility of intervening in human nature and redefining conditions such as health, illness, disability and even the ultimate human condition, which is death. In the proposed master’s thesis, the concept of moral person, as elaborated by Immanuel Kant and his modern descendants, will be exploited within two fields of application – on the one hand, genetic engineering and, on the other hand, technologies involving artificial intelligence for issues of health and care provision, issues that are at the cutting edge of the interdisciplinary interest involved in contemporary medical ethics.en
