| heal.abstract | Η πενικιλίνη, ως μέλος της οικογένειας των β-λακταμικών αντιβιοτικών, συνιστά ένα από τα πιο διαδεδομένα φαρμακευτικά μόρια που χρησιμοποιούνται στην ορνιθοτροφία, κυρίως για την πρόληψη και αντιμετώπιση βακτηριακών λοιμώξεων σε όρνιθες κρεατοπαραγωγής και αυγοπαραγωγής. Η παρούσα εργασία εστιάζει στην ενδελεχή ανάλυση της χρήσης της πενικιλίνης και συγγενών αντιμικροβιακών παραγόντων στο συγκεκριμένο πλαίσιο, εξετάζοντας τους μηχανισμούς δράσης, τις φαρμακοκινητικές τους ιδιότητες και τις επιπτώσεις της χρήσης τους τόσο στην υγεία των ορνίθων όσο και στη δημόσια υγεία. Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δόθηκε στην παρουσία καταλοίπων στα ζωικά προϊόντα (κρέας και αυγά), στην εμφάνιση ανθεκτικών βακτηριακών στελεχών, καθώς και στις περιβαλλοντικές επιπτώσεις από την εκτεταμένη και συχνά μη ελεγχόμενη χρήση τους. Μέσω της συστηματικής παρουσίασης πρόσφατων ερευνητικών μελετών, αναδείχθηκαν οι κίνδυνοι που σχετίζονται με την κατάχρηση της πενικιλίνης στην ορνιθοτροφία, αλλά και οι δυνατότητες βελτιστοποίησης της χρήσης της, μέσω ορθών πρακτικών και ρυθμιστικού πλαισίου. Τα ευρήματα υπογραμμίζουν την ανάγκη για εξισορρόπηση μεταξύ της φαρμακευτικής ανάγκης και της πρόληψης της ανθεκτικότητας, ενώ καθίσταται σαφής η επιτακτική σημασία περαιτέρω in vivo και in vitro ερευνών, οι οποίες θα αποσαφηνίσουν την ασφάλεια της πενικιλίνης σε σχέση με τον καταναλωτή και το περιβάλλον. | el |
| heal.abstract | Penicillin, as a member of the β-lactam antibiotic family, constitutes one of the most widely used pharmaceutical agents in poultry farming, primarily for the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections in broiler and laying hens. This study focuses on the in-depth analysis of penicillin use and related antimicrobial agents within this context, examining their mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetic properties, and the implications of their use for both poultry health and public health. Particular emphasis was placed on the presence of residues in animal products (meat and eggs), the emergence of resistant bacterial strains, as well as the environmental consequences resulting from their extensive and often uncontrolled use. Through a systematic presentation of recent scientific studies, the risks associated with penicillin overuse in poultry production were highlighted, along with the potential for optimizing its use through good practices and regulatory frameworks. The findings underscore the need to balance therapeutic necessity with the prevention of antimicrobial resistance, while also emphasizing the urgent importance of further in vivo and in vitro studies to clarify the safety of penicillin use in relation to both consumers and the environment. | en |
