heal.abstractΑυτή η εργασία είναι μια πρόταση για την ενημέρωση και την διαχείριση του Πένθους και του Θανάτου σε παιδιά προσχολικής και πρώτης σχολικής ηλικίας. Αρχικά, αναφέρεται το θέμα της διαχείρισης του Θανάτου και του Πένθους από Έλληνες και ξένους εκπαιδευτικούς όπως και οι κατευθυντήριες γραμμές που υπάρχουν για τους εκπαιδευτικούς μέσα στον Οδηγό Νηπιαγωγού(2011) . Επιπλέον γίνεται λόγος για την συμβολή του Θεάτρου στην εκπαίδευση και κάποια συγκεκριμένα είδη που ενδείκνυνται για τους μικρούς θεατές. Για να μπορέσουμε να κατανοήσουμε την σημαντικότητα του Θεάτρου και την σύνδεση που μπορεί να δημιουργήσει με τους θεατές, άρα και με τα παιδιά, ανατρέξαμε στην Ιστορική του Αρχή και τα Διονυσιακά Μυστήρια. Γίνεται λόγος για την Τραγωδία όπως και τους Τραγικούς Ποιητές και τον Μύθο ως το έναυσμα για την έμπνευση των θεμάτων των Τραγωδιών αλλά και για την εκπαιδευτική του αξία. Ακόμα, για τους Ήρωες των Μύθων και των Τραγωδιών ως σωστά Ηθικά πρότυπα. Μέσα από μια λεπτομερή ανάλυση του Σοφόκλειου Αίαντος όπως και των βασικών χαρακτήρων του, δίνονται δύο δραστηριότητες που συνδυάζουν το Θεατρικό Παιχνίδι και την Τραγωδία. Η πρώτη είναι μια κούκλα χαρακτήρας, που στην προκειμένη περίπτωση είναι ο γιος του βασικού χαρακτήρα, ο Ευρυσάκης που αφηγείται την ιστορία του, μοιράζεται τα συναισθήματά που προκλήθηκαν από τον θάνατο του Πατέρα του με τα παιδιά και τα παρακινεί να μιλήσουν κι αυτά για τα δικά τους λυπηρά συναισθήματα και γεγονότα. Η δεύτερη είναι το Διαδραστικό Θέατρο που μπορεί να λάβει χώρα μέσα στην τάξη με έναν ηθοποιό ο οποίος υποδύεται τον Αίαντα και μαζί με τα παιδιά παίρνουν αποφάσεις για τον ίδιο τροποποιώντας την Ιστορία και αλλάζοντας κάποια γεγονότα αλλά μαθαίνοντας και από το πρωτότυπο Έργο.el
heal.abstractThis paper focuses on Ancient Greek Tragedy and particularly the Sophoclean Ajax as tools of acknowledging and handling Death and Bereavement in early childhood education. First, the literature review discusses the educators' current knowledge and different attitudes towards Death and Grief in Greece as well as other European countries and examines how the Ancient Greek Theatre and Greek Tragedy play a role in gaining powerful emotional insight into people's psyche. Later, this paper examines the different approaches used in tackling the topics of Death and Grief as a part of the school curriculum, highlighting tools teachers can utilize to support bereaved children in the educational system. The main theme of this paper is the Ajax Tragedy and its use as a tool for Dramatic Play. Finally, there is a detailed analysis of the Play and its Main Characters presented through the body of knowledge previously discussed, along with two drama-based activities that aim to inform, sensitize and help preschool children and early elementary school students cope with Death and Grief. The first activity is about a Character Doll that embodies Eurysakes, the son of Ajax, who narrates the story of his Heroic Father while sharing his point of view and feelings about his father’s tragic Death. The second one is about the Hero, Ajax, where an actor is chosen to embody Ajax and narrate his story. At the end, the Actor joins the students in an attempt to make together some pivotal decisions in regards to Ajax's actions, thereby shaping the narrative of the story. Through the activities presented, young children can learn the true Ending and discuss it with the Actor or the teacher.en
