| heal.abstract | Η σχολική αποτυχία αποτελεί μέρος της ταυτότητας των μαθητών που τη βιώνουν ενώ καθορίζει τη μετέπειτα πορεία τους τόσο σε επίπεδο σπουδών όσο και επαγγέλματος (Θάνος, 2012̇ Σιάνου-Κύργιου, 2006˙ Φραγκουδάκη, 1985̇). Πλήθος ερευνών έχει καταδείξει τη σπουδαιότητα των Πανελλαδικών εξετάσεων στην ελληνική κουλτούρα (Τσιώλης, 2023). Η αποτυχία σε αυτές και η μη είσοδος στα Πανεπιστήμια διαμορφώνει για τη συντριπτική πλειοψηφία των υποψηφίων ένα στίγμα σχολικής αποτυχίας το οποίο «φέρουν» βαρέως ακόμη και μέχρι τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες της ζωής τους (Φραγκουδάκη, 1985̇˙ Σιάνου-Κύργιου,2006). Αν και οι επιπτώσεις της σχολικής αποτυχίας έχουν ερευνηθεί διεξοδικά σε όλες τις βαθμίδες, δεν υπάρχει καμία έρευνα αντίστοιχου πεδίου στις Σχολές Ανώτερης Επαγγελματικής Κατάρτισης (Σ.Α.Ε.Κ.) στην Ελλάδα. Σκοπός, λοιπόν της παρούσας ποιοτικής μελέτης είναι να καλύψει το ερευνητικό κενό διερευνώντας αν οι σπουδαστές / σπουδάστριες Σ.Α.Ε.Κ. Ιωαννίνων φέρουν το στίγμα της σχολικής αποτυχίας ως μέρος της ταυτότητάς τους. Η μέθοδος που χρησιμοποιήθηκε ήταν ημι δομημένες συνεντεύξεις δύο αξόνων ενώ εφαρμόστηκε επαγωγική προσέγγιση για την εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων. Δύο είναι τα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα που τίθενται : α) αν οι σπουδαστές Σ.Α.Ε.Κ. πιστεύουν ότι φέρουν το στίγμα της σχολικής αποτυχίας και β) πώς η κουλτούρα διαμορφώνει το στίγμα αυτό; Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας αποδεικνύουν πως σημαντικό ποσοστό των ερωτηθέντων αισθάνονται ότι φέρουν το στίγμα της αποτυχίας ενώ τα μελλοντικά τους σχέδια φανερώνουν ότι το στίγμα γίνεται κομμάτι της ταυτότητάς τους. Επίσης, διαπιστώθηκε ότι οι επιτυχόντες στις Σ.Α.Ε.Κ. μέσω παράλληλου μηχανογραφικού, σε αντίθεση με εκείνους που κάνουν απλώς εγγραφή, αισθάνονται πετυχημένοι για την είσοδό τους. Ωστόσο, η επικρατούσα κουλτούρα για την επαγγελματική κατάρτιση τους κατευθύνει με πλάγιους τρόπους στα ΑΕΙ ως ένδειξη απόλυτης επιτυχίας. | el |
| heal.abstract | School failure is part of the identity of the students who experience it and determines their subsequent course of study and profession (Thanos, 2012; Siannou-Kyrgiou, 2006; Fragoudaki, 1985). Numerous studies have demonstrated the importance of the Panhellenic examinations in Greek culture (Tsiolis, 2023). Failure in these examinations and non-entry into the Universities forms for the vast majority of candidates a stigma of school failure which they 'carry' heavily even until the last decades of their lives (Fragoudaki, 1985̇˙Sianou-Kyrgiou,2006). Although the effects of school failure have been thoroughly researched at all levels, there is no research of a similar scope in Higher Vocational Training Schools in Greece. The purpose of this qualitative study is to fill the research gap by investigating through interviews whether the students of S.A.E.K. of Ioannina carry the stigma of school failure as part of their identity. The method used was semi-structured two-axis interviews and an inductive approach was used to draw conclusions. Two research questions are posed: a) whether post-secondary VET students believe they carry the stigma of school failure and b) how does culture shape this stigma? The results of the survey show that a significant proportion of respondents feel that they carry the stigma of failure and their future plans reveal that the stigma becomes part of their identity. It was also found that those who succeed in S.A.E.K. through parallel computerised registration, as opposed to those who simply register, feel successful about their entry. However, the prevailing culture for vocational training directs them obliquely to Universities as a sign of ultimate success. | en |
