| heal.abstract | Το αντικείμενο της παρούσας ερευνητικής εργασίας επικεντρώνεται στο δώμα, εστιάζοντας στη δυνατότητά του να επαναπροσδιοριστεί και να αξιοποιηθεί ως χώρος που προορίζεται για ανθρώπινες δραστηριότητες, και κοινωνική αλληλεπίδραση. Στις σύγχρονες πυκνοκατοικημένες πόλεις, όπου ο δημόσιος χώρος δοκιμάζεται και οι άνθρωποι δυσκολεύονται να νιώσουν μέλη μιας κοινότητας, το δώμα προσφέρει τη δυνατότητα ανάκτησης της συλλογικής ζωής. Η προσθήκη νέων κατασκευών δεν είναι το ζητούμενο, αλλά η ενεργοποίηση απλών προϋποθέσεων μπορούν να δημιουργήσουν χώρους λειτουργικούς, που απευθύνονται στις ανάγκες των ανθρώπων σήμερα. Αντλώντας έμπνευση από τον Le Corbusier, ο οποίος ανέδειξε το βατό δώμα ως προέκταση του ζωτικού χώρου του χρήστη, εξετάζεται η ιστορική χρήση του αλλά και η σημερινή αντιμετώπισή του. Ιστορικά, τα δώματα ήταν χώροι κοινωνικής συναναστροφής και καθημερινών δραστηριοτήτων των ανθρώπων, σήμερα όμως χαρακτηρίζονται από εγκατάλειψη και απουσία κατάλληλου σχεδιασμού. Στη συνέχεια αναλύονται οι έννοιες του δημόσιου, του ιδιωτικού και του κοινόχρηστου χώρου και παρά τις δυσδιάκριτες οριοθετήσεις του δώματος σε κάποια από αυτές, αφήνεται να πλανάται η εν δυνάμει σύσταση ενός μελλοντικού εδάφους που έχει την ικανότητα να φιλοξενεί συλλογικές δραστηριότητες. Θα μπορούσαμε να πούμε ότι τα δώματα μπορούν να ενισχύσουν το αίσθημα του «ανήκειν» αντιμετωπίζοντας προβλήματα όπως η έλλειψη δημόσιων χώρων και η αποξένωση – χαρακτηριστικά των σύγχρονων μεγαλουπόλεων – αποτελώντας ένα βιώσιμο χώρο με λειτουργική και κοινωνική πλέον αξία στον αστικό ορίζοντα. | el |
| heal.abstract | The subject of the present research project focuses on the flat roof and its potential to be redefined and utilized as a space intended for human activities and social interaction. In contemporary densely populated cities, where public space is being tested and people find it difficult to feel part of a community, the rooftop offers an opportunity of reclaiming collective life. Adding new structures is not the point, but activating simple conditions can create functional spaces that address the needs of people today. Drawing inspiration from Le Corbusier, who emphasized the flat roof as an extension of the user's living space, the historical use of the roof and its current treatment are examined. Historically, roofs were places of social interaction and everyday activities for people, but today they are often characterised by neglect and lack of thoughtful design. The concepts of public, private and communal space are then analysed and despite the indistinct delineations of the roof in some of them, the potential constitution of a future land capable of hosting collective activities is implied. It could be said that rooftops can enhance the sense of belonging by addressing problems such as the lack of public spaces and alienation - characteristics of modern megacities - by becoming a sustainable space with a functional and social value on the urban horizon. | en |
