| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία εστιάζεται στην εξέλιξη της Αρχιτεκτονικής των πόλεων και των κτιρίων που προκύπτει από την αντιμετώπιση κοινωνικών συγκρούσεων. Το ζήτημα αυτό τέθηκε μετά τη διαπίστωση ότι οι συγκρουσιακές καταστάσεις στην εποχή μας ολοένα αυξάνονται. Επομένως, θεωρήθηκε χρήσιμο να εξεταστεί η σχέση ανάμεσα στη σύγκρουση και τον αστικό χώρο από πλευράς αρχιτεκτονικής παρέμβασης. Για τη συγγραφή της εργασίας λαμβάνονται υπόψη δύο βασικοί παράμετροι. Η κοινή παραδοχή ότι μέσα από τη σύγκρουση προκύπτει η εξέλιξη σε πολλούς χρήσιμους τομείς για την κατασκευή όπως η χρήση νέων υλικών και η βελτίωση τεχνογνωσίας και ότι η Αρχιτεκτονική είναι ένα ανοιχτό σύστημα που επηρεάζεται από τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο και επηρεάζει τη διαβίωση των κατοίκων σε αυτόν. Στο κύριο μέρος της εργασίας ερευνάται πώς γίνεται ο μετασχηματισμός των παραπάνω παραμέτρων υπό το πρίσμα νέων θεωρητικών τάσεων. Ερευνάται κυρίως ο 20ος αιώνας ως πηγή πολλών και συνεχών εντάσεων αλλά και έκφρασης νέων θεωριών που έθεσαν τη λειτουργικότητα ως ακρογωνιαίο λίθο της αρχιτεκτονικής έκφρασης. Μέσω παράθεσης της σχετικής βιβλιογραφίας και της αναφοράς εμβληματικών παραδειγμάτων, η εργασία, στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο, μελετά τα εμπνευσμένα από τη σύγκρουση χαρακτηριστικά των τάσεων (Αρ Νουβό, Ρωσική Πρωτοπορία, Κονστρουκτιβισμός, Μοντερνισμός, Μπάουχαους, Μπρουταλισμός, κίνημα Αποδόμησης) και τις καινοτομίες τους, ενώ, στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο, επεξεργάζεται με παραδείγματα από Βόρεια και Νότια Αμερική, Ασία και Ευρώπη τη διάταξη των αρχιτεκτονικών παρεμβάσεων μέσα στη διάσταση του αστικού χώρου που είτε υψώνεται στον κάθετο άξονα είτε εκτείνεται στον οριζόντιο πάνω ή ακόμα και κάτω από την επιφάνεια. Επιπροσθέτως, εξετάζεται ως αντίκτυπο της σύγκρουσης το δίλημμα επιβολής ορίων ή κατάργησής τους. Τέλος, ο απώτερος σκοπός της έρευνας είναι η διεξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων όσον αφορά στην κατανόηση της διαδικασίας του μετασχηματισμού, στην ανάδειξη των επαρκών και μη, πρακτικών αντιμετώπισης των συγκρούσεων καθώς και στη διατύπωση προτάσεων που θα ενισχύσουν τον ρόλο της Αρχιτεκτονικής και θα προσπαθήσουν μελλοντικά να ελαχιστοποιήσουν προβλήματα του αστικού χώρου. | el |
| heal.abstract | This study is focused on the evolution of Architecture concerning cities and buildings, as an outcome of coping with social conflict. This issue was raised after realizing that in recent years, social conflict is constantly increasing. Therefore, it was considered useful to examine the relation between social conflict and the urban space, from an architectural intervention point of view. In this study, two basic parameters are considered; a commonly accepted view where through this conflict many useful aspects of the construction process are evolving, by using for example new materials and techniques. The other is that architectural design is an open system affected by the environment and consequently affects people’s living in it. In the main part of this study, the way of these two parameters are transformed, is thoroughly examined under the light of new theoretical trends. Mainly, the influence of 20th century’s intensity and new theory appearance is examined, for it has set functionality as a corner stone of architectural expression. Through quotation of the relevant bibliography and some key examples, the main characteristics of these trends (Art Nouveau, Russian Avant-Garde Constructivism Modernism, Bauhaus, Brutalism, Deconstructivism) and their novelties, as they have been inspired by the social conflict, are discussed in the first chapter. In the second chapter, this study focuses on the arrangement in space of all architectural interventions inside the dimensions of the urban space, either as they rise on the Vertical axis or extend in the Horizontal axis, even below the surface of the earth, by using examples from North and South America, Europe and Asia. Furthermore, the question of having boundaries or not, as an outcome of this social conflict, is also discussed. Finally, the ultimate goal of this study is to reach to a point of understanding the process of transformation, to highlight the adequate or inadequate practices of tackling the social conflicts as well as to formulate proposals, which will strengthen the role of architectural design and in time, try to minimize known problems in the urban space. | en |
