| heal.abstract | Η διπλωματική εργασία με τίτλο «Αστική ραφή: Επανασυνδέσεις τόπων και ομάδων του πληθυσμού στο Τουρκολίμανο Πειραιά» επικεντρώνεται στον αστικό σχεδιασμό και την επαναχρησιμοποίηση του Πνευματικού Κέντρου Πειραιά. Η μελέτη αφορά την αναδιαμόρφωση του χώρου με τη δημιουργία μιας πλατφόρμας- στεγάστρου. Εξετάζει την τοπογραφία του Μικρολίμανου, παρατηρώντας την σύζευξη κυκλικών και ευθύγραμμων στοιχείων, ενώ προτείνει ένα σύστημα σύνδεσης οδικών αξόνων και μόλων, βασισμένο σε αρχιτεκτονικά πειράματα όπως η μακέτα από λαστιχάκια και από καλσόν. Η πλατφόρμα αυτή φιλοξενεί δραστηριότητες των extreme sports (zipline, skate), ενώ ο τοίχος με μέρος του κτιρίου φιλοξενούν την αναρρίχηση- καταρρίχηση και το έδαφος το zorbing. Η μελέτη αυτή επιδιώκει να δημιουργήσει έναν τόπο συνάντησης και ψυχαγωγίας. Συνδεέται η ιστορία του Πνευματικού Κέντρου - έπαυλης του Αλέξανδρου Ζαχαρίου με τις κοινωνικές ανάγκες του σήμερα, προτείνοντας τη χρήση του κτιρίου για την υποστήριξη χαμηλών κοινωνικών τάξεων, με δραστηριότητες όπως παιδότοπος και κατάστημα second-hand προϊόντα. Επιπλέον, το νερό, το πράσσινο και οι υπαίθριες αγορές συμβάλλουν στην αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση, δίνοντας έμφαση στην κοινωνική και πολιτιστική αναζωογόνηση του Πειραιά μέσω ενός πολυχώρου με ποικίλες δραστηριότητες για την τοπική κοινωνία. | el |
| heal.abstract | The thesis entitled “Urban Stitching: reconnecting places and population groups in Tourkolimano, Piraeus” focuses on the urban design and reuse of the Piraeus Cultural Centre. The study concerns the reconfiguration of the site by creating a platform-structure. It examines the topography of Mikrolimanos, observing the coupling of circular and rectilinear elements, and proposes a system of connecting road axes and pillars, based on architectural experiments such as the model of the hose and the tights. This platform hosts extreme sports activities (zipline, skate), while the wall with part of the building hosts climbing - rappelling and ground zorbing. This project aims to create a place for meeting and recreation. It connects the history of the Spiritual Centre - Alexander Zachariou’s mansion with the social needs of today, proposing the use of the building to support the lower social classes, with activities such as a playground and second-hand shop. In addition, water, greenery and open-air markets contribute contribute to the architectural composition, emphasizing the social and cultural revitalization of Piraeus through a multi-purpose space with a variety of activities for the local community. | en |
