| heal.abstract | Η πρόοδος της συνδεσιμότητας στο Διαδίκτυο και η πρόσβαση σε αυτό ακόμη και στις πιο απομακρυσμένες περιοχές έχει οδηγήσει στην εμφάνιση μίας νέας τεχνολογικής και κοινωνικής πραγματικότητας, του Cloud computing. Χάρη σε αυτό το νέο υπολογιστικό περιβάλλον μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιούμε πόρους και υπηρεσίες οποτεδήποτε και οπουδήποτε. Δύο μεγάλες τεχνολογικές εταιρείες, η Amazon και η Microsoft, έχουν αναπτύξει τις υπηρεσίες του καταφέρνοντας να γίνουν πρωτοπόροι στη παροχή υπηρεσιών ιστού, δημιουργώντας δικές τους πλατφόρμες Cloud computing, τις Amazon Web Services και Microsoft Azure με τις οποίες προσφέρουν και τα τρία μοντέλα υπηρεσιών – SaaS, PaaS, IaaS-στους χρήστες. Η εργασία αυτή αναλύει με απλό τρόπο τις υπηρεσίες των Amazon AWS και Microsoft Azure, επικεντρώνοντας σε τέσσερις υπηρεσίες Cloud, τις Υπηρεσίες Πληροφορικής, τις Βάσεις Δεδομένων και Αποθήκευση, την Ασφάλεια και τις Υπηρεσίες Δικτύου, προσπαθώντας παράλληλα να αποδώσει αυτή την ανάλυση όσο πιο αντικειμενικά γίνεται από την αγγλική γλώσσα, χρησιμοποιώντας ως έναυσμα επιστημονικά περιοδικά και πληροφορίες από τις επίσημες ιστοσελίδες των εταιρειών. | el |
| heal.abstract | The progress of Internet connectivity and the access to it even in the most remote areas has led to the appearance of a new technological and social reality, Cloud computing. Thanks to this new computing environment we can use or store resources, data, and services anywhere and at any time. Two big technological companies, Amazon, and Microsoft, have developed its services managing to become pioneers in Web services, creating their own Cloud computing platforms, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, offering all three service models of Cloud computing -SaaS, PaaS, IaaS- to the users. This thesis analyses in a simple way the services of Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure, focusing on four Cloud services, Compute Services, Databases and Storage, Security and Network Services, while trying to render this analysis as objectively as possible from the English language, using as trigger research from scientific magazines and information from the official online documentation of the two companies. | en |
