| heal.abstract | Τα τελευταία χρόνια, σπουδαία τεχνολογικά επιτεύγματα έχουν καταφέρει να οδηγήσουν σε αυτό που ονομάζεται 4η βιομηχανική επανάσταση. Ένα από αυτά είναι και το διαδίκτυο, που πολύ γρήγορα κατάφερε να διεισδύσει στις ζωές των ανθρώπων και να αλλάξει ριζικά την καθημερινότητα τους. Οι αμέτρητες δυνατότητες που προσφέρει, ευνοούν την επικοινωνία μεταξύ δυο άκρων και εκμηδενίζει τις αποστάσεις. Ο τεράστιος αριθμός των συσκευών, αλλά και η ανάγκη για πιο αυτοματοποιημένες εργασίες ήταν κάποιοι από τους λόγους εμφάνισης του IoT. Το διαδίκτυο των πραγμάτων εισάγει ένα πρωτοποριακό τρόπο επικοινωνίας και αποτελεσματικής αποστολής δεδομένων μεταξύ των συσκευών ενός δικτύου. Η εκρηκτική δημοφιλία του IoT, σε συνδυασμό με το υψηλό οικονομικό αντίκτυπο που είχε στην παγκόσμια αγορά, αποτέλεσαν τα κίνητρα για την υιοθέτηση του, από βιομηχανικά περιβάλλοντα. Στα πλαίσια της παρούσας εργασίας μελετώνται οι απαιτήσεις, τα χαρακτηριστικά και οι ευκαιρίες που παρουσιάζονται στο βιομηχανικό διαδίκτυο των πραγμάτων. Ακόμη γίνεται λόγος για τις ασύρματες τεχνολογίες που χρησιμοποιούνται για την υλοποίηση IIoT συστημάτων. Δυο από τις πιο διαδεδομένες τεχνολογίες είναι το ασύρματο τοπικό δίκτυο Wi-Fi 6 και το κυψελωτό δίκτυο 5ης γενιάς, 5G. Τα δυο αυτά δίκτυα παρουσιάζονται και συγκρίνονται μεταξύ τους, ως προς τα τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά, την αρχιτεκτονική, το κόστος υλοποίησης και την επεκτασιμότητα. | el |
| heal.abstract | In recent years, great technological achievements have managed to lead to what is called the 4th industrial revolution. One of those is the internet, which pretty quickly became a big part in people’s lives and drastically change their daily routines. It offers unlimited potential, which helps the communication between two ends and basically eliminates the distance. The huge number of devices, combined with the need for automated routines were some of the reasons of the internet of things rollout. IoT brings an innovate way of communicating and sufficiently sending data in between devices of a network. The explosive popularity of IoT, combined with the high economic value that it brings to the global market, became the motives for its adoption from industrial environments. With this thesis we will study the demands, the characteristics and the opportunities that appear in the industrial Internet of Things. Also, we will focus on wireless technologies that are used for applying IIoT systems. Two of the most recognized technologies are the wireless local network Wi-Fi 6 and the cellular 5G network. These two networks will be shown and be compared with each other, when it comes to specification, to the architectures, the development, cost and the scalability. | en |
