heal.abstractΑn application of digital forensic and scientific knowledge to enable information to be legally retrieved from any digital devices such as computers and smart phones is digital forensics, or digital forensics. Information that is legally obtained is then presented as a piece of evidence in the courtroom. Computer forensics also refers to digital forensics. Various steps are involved in the investigation of digital crimes, such as evidence presentation and validation, search, recovery and identification. Recent research has shown the huge cascade of cyber attacks and threats, which require forensic and forensic experts to simplify the system of the digital world. digital forensics is considered to be directly related to data retrieval and research. This sector faces some technical, resource and legal challenges differently. The aim of this study is to explore new dimensions of digital forensics, such as network forensics, computer forensics and router forensics. All the findings of the research allow for a better understanding of digital forensics, which could be considered useful in forensic research. Therefore, in this thesis, the need for security is studied by analyzing the science of digital forensics in general, but specifically in the case of routers, and what methods the researchers used during an investigation.en
