| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία συνιστά μια βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση, η οποία στοχεύει στη διερεύνηση της συμβολής των επαγγελματιών λογοθεραπείας στα παιδιά με εγκεφαλική παράλυση. Ειδικότερα, στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται μια σφαιρική παρουσίαση της εγκεφαλικής παράλυσης που περιλαμβάνει ιστορική αναδρομή, ορισμό, στοιχεία επιπολασμού, αιτιολογικούς παράγοντες κινδύνου, κλινικά χαρακτηριστικά, συστήματα ταξινόμησης και συνοδά ελλείματα. Κατόπιν, το δεύτερο κεφάλαιο πραγματεύεται εκτενώς τις διαταραχές λόγου, ομιλίας και επικοινωνίας, καθώς και τις μεθόδους αξιολόγησης και παρέμβασης του λογοθεραπευτή. Στο τρίτο και τέταρτο κεφάλαιο, αντίστοιχα, μελετάται ο ρόλος του κλινικού αναφορικά με τα αισθητηριακά ελλείματα και την εναλλακτική – επαυξητική επικοινωνία, και τις διαταραχές σίτισης και κατάποσης, ενώ στο πέμπτο κεφάλαιο παρατίθεται η μελέτη περίπτωσης της Ρ. Μ.. Από την παρούσα βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση προκύπτει αφενός, ότι η εγκεφαλική παράλυση αποτελεί μια νευρολογική διαταραχή που έχει αντίκτυπο σχεδόν σε όλους τους τομείς της ανάπτυξης ενός παιδιού και, αφετέρου, ο ρόλος του λογοθεραπευτή καταδεικνύεται πρωταρχικής σημασίας δεδομένου ότι η εδραίωση αποτελεσματικού τρόπου επικοινωνίας και ασφαλούς διαδικασίας σίτισης/κατάποσης είναι, ίσως, μερικά από τα σημαντικότερα προβλήματα για την αποκατάσταση ενός παιδιού με εγκεφαλική παράλυση. | el |
| heal.abstract | This thesis constitutes a literature review, which aims to investigate the contribution of speech and language therapists to children with cerebral palsy. The first chapter presents a global presentation of cerebral palsy that includes a historical review, definition, prevalence data, aetiological risk factors, clinical features, classification systems, and co-existing deficits. Then, the second chapter deals extensively with speech, language, and communication disorders, and speech therapists’ assessment and intervention practices. The clinician’s role is studied in sensory deficits and alternative – augmentative communication, and feeding and swallowing disorders, in the third and fourth chapter, respectively, while the case study of R. M. is presented in the fifth chapter. From the present literature review it emerges, on the one hand, that cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that has an impact on almost all areas of a child's development and, on the other hand, the role of the speech/language therapist is shown to be of primary importance since the establishment of an effective way of communication and a safe feeding/swallowing process are, perhaps, some of the most important problems for the rehabilitation of a child with cerebral palsy. | en |
