| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εστιάζει στο νοτιοδυτικό κομμάτι του παραλιμνίου μετώπου της Λίμνης Παμβώτιδας, σε μια έκταση που αποτελούνταν διαχρονικά από βαλτώδεις περιοχές περιοδικά πλημμυρισμένες από νερό, με πολλαπλές αξίες για το οικοσύστημα, οι οποίες σταδιακά αποξηράθηκαν μετά από μια σειρά ανθρώπινων παρεμβάσεων. Προτείνεται η ανάπλαση της περιοχής αυτής με σκοπό την ανάδειξη της και την αποκατάσταση του σημαντικότερου μέρους των περιοδικά πλημμυρισμένων εκτάσεων. Η παραλίμνια περιπατητική διαδρομή που περνάει μέσα αυτές τις εκτάσεις διατηρείται και μετατρέπεται σε έναν ερμηνευτικό περίπατο αποτελούμενο από ένα σύνολο κλειστών, υπαίθριων και ημι-υπαίθριων επεμβάσεων με στόχο την περιβαλλοντική ενημέρωση, εκπαίδευση και ευαισθητοποίηση του κοινού. Η κυριότερη επέμβαση, το Κέντρο Ερμηνείας Οικοσυστήματος Λίμνης Παμβώτιδας, χωροθετείται στην αρχή της περιοχής μελέτης, στο σημείο όπου τελειώνει η αστική παραλίμνια διαδρομή και ξεκινάει να αλλάζει σταδιακά το τοπίο από αστικό σε αγροτικό. Θα περιέχει εκθεσιακό χώρο για την ιστορία και το οικοσύστημα της λίμνης, ο οποίος θα αντικαταστήσει το υπάρχον κέντρο πληροφόρησης που βρίσκεται στο Νησάκι και έχει πολύ μικρή έκταση και επισκεψιμότητα, αλλά και χώρους πολλαπλών περιοδικών εκδηλώσεων. Στοχεύει έτσι στην ευαισθητοποίηση του κοινού πάνω σε καίρια περιβαλλοντικά ζητήματα και ταυτόχρονα λειτουργεί ως κέντρο για τη συμμετοχή της κοινότητας σε διαδικασίες διαχείρισης της λίμνης. | heal.abstract | This diploma thesis focuses on the south-western front of Lake Pamvotida, a region that historically consisted of seasonally flooded areas, with multiple values for the ecosystem, which gradually dried up after a series of human interventions. The regeneration of this area is proposed in order to enhance its environment and restore the most important part of the periodically flooded areas. The lakeside promenade that passes through these lands is preserved and transformed into an interpretive walk, consisting of various closed, outdoor and semi-outdoor interventions, with the aim of environmental information, education and awareness of the public. The main intervention, the Lake Pamvotida Ecosystem Interpretation Center, is located at the beginning of the study area, at the point where the urban lakeside promenade ends and the landscape begins to gradually change from urban to rural. It will contain an exhibition space for the history and the ecosystem of Lake Pamvotida, which will replace the existing information center located in the lake’s island, as well as spaces for multiple temporary exhibitions and events. It thus aims to raise public awareness of key environmental issues and at the same time acts as a center for the participation of the community in lake management processes. It has been conceived as an in-between space that marks the transition to a new state, being simultaneously part of the lakeside promenade and the urban fabric. | en |
