| heal.abstract | Η σημαντική πρόοδος στην διάγνωση και αντιμετώπιση των χρόνιων νόσων σε παιδιά και εφήβους έχει αλλάξει την κλινική παιδιατρική με συνέπεια εκατομμύρια παιδιά ανά τον κόσμο να ζουν σήμερα με χρόνιες ασθένειες. Όμως, οι ανήλικοι ασθενείς συναντούν σοβαρά προβλήματα προσαρμογής στις απαιτήσεις των χρόνιων ασθενειών, καθώς εμφανίζονται σε ένα πολύ δύσκολο αναπτυξιακό στάδιο της ζωής τους, γεγονός που επηρεάζει και την λειτουργία της οικογένειας. Σκοπός: Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η μελέτη των επιπτώσεων που έχουν σήμερα οι χρόνιες ασθένειες στις οικογένειες ανηλίκων και στην σωματική και ψυχική υγεία όλων των προσώπων του οικογενειακού συστήματος. Υλικό και Μέθοδος: Για την συλλογή των δεδομένων πραγματοποιήθηκε ανασκόπηση της ελληνικής και διεθνούς βιβλιογραφίας στην ηλεκτρονική βάση δεδομένων PubMed. Το υλικό της μελέτης αποτέλεσαν επιλεγμένα άρθρα δημοσιευμένα κυρίως την τελευταία δεκαετία. Οι περιορισμοί που τέθηκαν στόχευαν σε συγκεκριμένη ηλικιακή ομάδα έως 18 ετών. Λέξεις που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν σε συνδυασμούς κατά την αναζήτηση ήταν «χρόνιες ασθένειες παιδικής ηλικίας» (childhood chronic illness, juvenile chronic illness, childhood long term diseases), «οικογένεια» (family), «ψυχολογία» (psychology), «επίδραση» (impact), «αντιμετώπιση» (treatment). Αποτελέσματα: Η μελέτη των χρόνιων ασθενειών σε παιδιά και εφήβους αντικατοπτρίζει ένα παγκόσμιο πρόβλημα και οι παράγοντες κινδύνου αποδεικνύουν πως αφορά ένα θέμα που περικλείει όλο το σύστημα της οικογένειας. Η ψυχολογική κατάσταση των γονιών καθώς και των ανηλίκων με χρόνια πάθηση αποτελεί το κλειδί για περαιτέρω έρευνα πάνω στον τομέα των παρεμβάσεων. Συμπεράσματα: Τα ψυχολογικά προβλήματα που προκύπτουν στους νέους συνδέονται άρρηκτα με την έκβαση της ασθένειας, καθώς και η διαχείριση από την μεριά της οικογένειας αποτελεί τον βασικότερο παράγοντα για την προσαρμογή σε αυτήν. Οι έρευνες στον τομέα των παρεμβάσεων αποδείχθηκαν περιορισμένες και θα πρέπει μελλοντικά να εστιάζουν στις επιδράσεις που έχει η ψυχολογία όλου του οικογενειακού συστήματος πάνω στην έκβαση της υγείας του ανηλίκου. | el |
| heal.abstract | Major advances in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic illness in children and adolescents have changed the landscape of clinical pediatrics, with the consequence of juveniles, across the world, living these days with the presence of a chronic illness. However, they face serious problems adjusting to the demands of these long-term diseases, as they present at a very difficult age of development, causing impacts also in the function of the family. Purpose: The purpose of this work is the research of the impacts chronic illnesses have in the families of juveniles and in the physical and mental health of every person in the family system. Material and Method: The electronic data base PubMed was used to collect data of the Greek and international bibliography. The material of the review was from selected articles that where published the last decade. The filters used, aimed to provide articles for people underage; at most 18 years old. Results: The research of chronic diseases in children and adolescents mirrors the worldwide problem and the risk factors prove to be an abstract that envelops the whole family system. The psychological condition of parents and juveniles with a chronic illness is the key to further research in the scope of interventions. Conclusions: The presence of mental implications is related with the outcome of the disease and the family management appears to be the most important factor for the adjustment. The research about interventions proved to be very limited and eventually it should focus on the impact of family’s mental health on the outcome of the illness.
