| heal.abstract | Ο ρόλος της Πράσινης Οικονομίας, της Βιώσιμης Κατανάλωσης και Παραγωγής και της Αποδοτικότητας των Πόρων για την Αειφόρο Ανάπτυξη. Η Βιώσιμη Κατανάλωση και Παραγωγή στοχεύει στη βελτίωση των διαδικασιών παραγωγής και των πρακτικών κατανάλωσης για τη μείωση της κατανάλωσης πόρων, της παραγωγής αποβλήτων και των εκπομπών σε όλο τον κύκλο ζωής των διαδικασιών και των προϊόντων – ενώ η αποδοτικότητα αναφέρεται στους τρόπους με τους οποίους χρησιμοποιούνται οι πόροι για την παροχή αξίας στην κοινωνία και στοχεύει στη μείωση της ποσότητας των πόρων που απαιτούνται και των εκπομπών και των αποβλήτων που παράγονται, ανά μονάδα προϊόντος ή υπηρεσίας. Αποτελεί γεγονός πως οι ανανεώσιμες πηγές ενέργειας όπως η αιολική ενέργεια, η ηλιακή ενέργεια, η υδροηλεκτρική ενέργεια και η χρήση βιομάζας, μπορούν να διαδραματίσουν σημαντικό ρόλο στην αντιμετώπιση της διπλής πρόκλησης της ενεργειακής ασφάλειας και της υπερθέρμανσης του πλανήτη, διότι δεν καταστρέφουν τους σχετικούς διαθέσιμους πόρους και παράγουν λιγότερες εκπομπές αερίων θερμοκηπίου από τα ορυκτά καύσιμα. Τελικά, η έννοια της Πράσινης Οικονομίας πρέπει να αναζητήσει άλλους τρόπους υπολογισμού του κόστους παραγωγής και κατανάλωσης με βάση την ιδέα ότι ο πλανήτης είναι πεπερασμένος, ότι η ανάπτυξη και το οικονομικό σύστημα είναι έννοιες που πρέπει να αναπτυχθούν σε τοπικό και εθνικό επίπεδο, και αναγνωρίζοντας ότι οι κοινωνίες μπορεί να ζήσει σεμνά, αξιοπρεπή, δίκαια και ευτυχισμένα με βάση την έννοια της «καλής διαβίωσης» Ωστόσο, η καλύτερη χρήση των φυσικών πόρων και των ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας, είναι απαραίτητη, αλλά όχι επαρκής προϋπόθεση για την επίτευξη βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης. | heal.abstract | The role of the Green Economy, Sustainable Consumption and Production and Resource Efficiency for Sustainable Development. Sustainable Consumption and Production aims to improve production processes and consumption practices to reduce resource consumption, production of waste and emissions throughout the life cycle of processes and products – while efficiency refers to the ways in which resources are used to provide value to society and aims to reduce the amount of resources required and the emissions and waste produced, per unit of product or service. It is common knowledge that renewable energy sources such as wind energy, solar energy, hydroelectric energy and the use of biomass can play an important role in addressing the dual challenge of energy security and global warming, because they do not destroy the relevant available resources. More over it produces less greenhouse gas emissions than fossil fuels. Ultimately, the concept of the Green Economy must look for other ways of calculating the costs of production and consumption based on the idea that the planet is not infinite, that development and the economic system are concepts that must be developed at local and national level, and recognizing that societies can live modestly, decently, justly and happily based on the concept of "good living" However, better use of natural resources and renewable energy sources is a necessary but not sufficient condition for achieving sustainable development. The concept of green economy should effectively pursue an idea of the welfare of society that does not depend on the continuous increase of production and consumption. | en |
