| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα μελέτη ερευνά τις λειτουργίες του ψηφιακού χρήματος, μιας καινοτόμου μορφής χρήματος που απασχολεί έντονα την παγκόσμια οικονομία. Επικεντρώνεται στις επιδράσεις των ψηφιακών νομισμάτων στη μείωση της συστημικής φτώχειας και των κοινωνικών και οικονομικών ανισοτήτων μεταξύ των πολιτών κάθε χώρας. Στην προσπάθεια αυτή, γίνεται διερεύνηση του τρόπου που οι τράπεζες οδήγησαν στις περιοδικές κρίσεις χρέους και στην έξαρση των ποσοστών φτώχειας στον πλανήτη, με αποτέλεσμα να χρήζουν επιτακτική την ανάγκη της μεταρρύθμισης του χρηματοπιστωτικού συστήματος. Επιπρόσθετα, η εργασία εμβαθύνει στις αρχές και τους κανόνες που διέπουν τα ψηφιακά νομίσματα και πώς αυτά συνδράμουν στην επίλυση της οικονομικής δυσχέρειας των ατόμων και στην εξασφάλιση του βασικού εισοδήματος για όλους, προκειμένου οι άνθρωποι να έχουν το δικαίωμα ελευθερίας πρόσβασης στα αγαθά και τις υπηρεσίες. Για την καλύτερη κατανόηση της συμβολής του ψηφιακού χρήματος στην βελτίωση του βιοτικού επιπέδου της κοινωνίας, γίνεται ανάλυση και σύγκριση των χαρακτηριστικών, των στόχων και των ωφελειών δύο αποκεντρωμένων τοπικών ψηφιακών νομισμάτων. Ως αποτέλεσμα αποδεικνύεται ότι πράγματι η υιοθέτηση των ψηφιακών νομισμάτων μπορεί να εξασφαλίσει μια καλή ποιότητα ζωής στους μη προνομιούχους, να επαναφέρει την ευημερία στην ανθρωπότητα και να μειώσει το χάσμα μεταξύ των ατόμων στην κοινωνία στις αναπτυγμένες οικονομίες. | el |
| heal.abstract | This thesis investigates the functions of digital money, an innovative form of money that is a major concern in the global economy nowadays. It focuses on the effects of digital currencies in reducing systemic poverty and social and economic inequalities among citizens of each country. In this effort, it explores how banks have led to periodic debt crises and the rise in poverty rates around the globe, making the need for financial system reform essential. In addition, the paper delves into the principles and rules governing digital currencies and how they contribute to solve the financial distress of individuals and ensure basic income for all, so that people have the right to free access to goods and services. In order to realize the contribution of digital money in improving the standards of living of society, the characteristics, objectives and benefits of two decentralized local digital currencies are analyzed and compared. As a result, it is proved that adoption of digital currencies can actually ensure a valuable quality of life for the underprivileged, restore prosperity to the global community and reduce the gap between individuals in society in developed economies. | en |
