heal.abstractΥπό το όνομα του ζακύνθιου ποιητή του 16ου αιώνα Μάρκου Διεριέδη Δεφαράνα έχουν παραδοθεί δύο δημώδη ποιήματα, οι "Λόγοι διδακτικοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς πρὸς τὸν υἱὸν" και η "Ἱστορία τῆς Σωσάννης". Τα δύο ποιήματα ανήκουν στις λεγόμενες "φυλλάδες" ή "ριμάδες", που εκδόθηκαν από τα βενετικά τυπογραφεία τον 16ο αιώνα και αποτέλεσαν τα αναγνώσματα των Ελλήνων που βρίσκονταν στις Βενετοκρατούμενες και Οθωμανοκρατούμενες ελληνικές περιοχές για πολλά χρόνια. Παραδόξως, τα δύο ποιήματα δεν έχουν μελετηθεί λεπτομερώς από την φιλολογική έρευνα. Σκοπός της διδακτορικής διατριβής είναι η κριτική έκδοση των δύο ποιημάτων, η οποία βασίζεται στα κείμενα των δύο πρώτων έντυπων βενετικών εκδόσεων τους, των ετών 1543 και 1569 αντίστοιχα. Επιπλέον, η έκδοση συνοδεύεται από εισαγωγή, η οποία αναφέρεται στη ζωή του ποιητή, στην παράδοση των δύο ποιημάτων, στις λογοτεχνικές πηγές και στα πρότυπά τους, στην πρόσληψή τους από μεταγενέστερους ποιητές, στη γλώσσα και το μέτρο τους. Συνοδεύεται τέλος από αναλυτικό ερμηνευτικό υπόμνημα, γλωσσάρι και επίμετρο.el
heal.abstractThe 16th-century sailor Marcos Dieriedis Defaranas is the author of two Greek vernacular poems, namely, "Λόγοι διδακτικοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς πρὸς τὸν υἱόν" and "Ἱστορία τῆς Σωσάννης." These works fall into the category of Greek "φυλλάδες" or "ριμάδες" (rimades), that were printed in Venetian printing shops during the 16th century and were read from the Greek readers in the territories under the Venetian and Ottoman rule. Interestingly, the two poems have remained largely overlooked by scholars in recent years. The principal objective of this dissertation is to present a new and comprehensive critical edition of both poems. This edition is based on the two basic witness of their tradition: the first Venetian editions of the 1543 and 1569, respectively. Furthermore, the critical edition is accompanied by an elaborate introduction that delves into the life of the poet, the tradition of the poems, the literary sources that influenced Defaranas, the poems’ reception by subsequent poets, their language and metrical structure. It is augmented by insightful critical and explanatory annotations, an extensive glossary, and a comprehensive index. These elements combine to provide a thorough and scholarly exploration of Marcos Dieriedis Defaranas' contributions to the Greek literary landscape of the 16th century.en
