| heal.abstract | Η εισήγηση αναλύει την έννοια του πένθους στην Ορθόδοξη πατερική παράδοση με βάση απόψεις ορισμένων πατέρων των τεσσάρων πρώτων αιώνων. Κυρίως η ανάλυση βασίζεται σε ένα περισπούδαστο λόγο του αγίου Γρηγορίου Νύσσης με τον τίτλο «Προς τους πενθούντας επί τοις από του παρόντος βίου προς τον αΐδιον μεθισταμένοις». Στο κείμενο αυτό ο ιερός πατέρας αναλύει και εξηγεί με σαφήνεια και θεολογική πληρότητα την έννοια του θανάτου από χριστιανική σκοπιά. Στη συνέχεια επισημαίνει τις θετικές και αρνητικές επιπτώσεις του πένθους και συμβουλεύει τους χριστιανούς με ποιο τρόπο να αντιμετωπίζουν το θάνατο των προσφιλών τους προσώπων. Η εισήγηση κατακλείεται με την επισήμανση ότι η αντιμετώπιση του γεγονότος του θανάτου και του πένθους από την Ορθόδοξη ελληνική πατερική παράδοση υπήρξε εντελώς διαφορετική από την μέχρι τότε γνωστή θρησκευτική και κοινωνική πρακτική γύρω απ’ αυτό το θέμα. Οι πατέρες της Εκκλησίας κατέκριναν τους υπερβολικούς φόβους των ανθρώπων για το θάνατο και καταδίκαζαν, πολλές φορές με αυστηρότητα, τις πρακτικές και τα έθιμα που συνόδευαν τη φροντίδα και την ταφή των νεκρών και ιδιαίτερα τον τρόπο με τον οποίο πενθούσαν. Ταυτόχρονα, όμως, προσπαθούσαν με πολλή αγάπη, φροντίδα και κατανόηση να ενημερώνουν τους πιστούς χριστιανούς πώς να αντιμετωπίζουν το θάνατο και το πένθος από τη χριστιανική σκοπιά. | el |
| heal.abstract | The presentation analyzes the concept of mourning in the Orthodox paternal tradition based on the views of some fathers of the first four centuries. Mainly, the analysis is based on a well-studied speech of Saint Gregory of Nyssa with the title "To those who mourn for those who have passed from this present life to the eternal". In this text the holy father analyzes and explains with clarity and theological completeness the meaning of death from a Christian point of view. He then points out the positive and negative effects of mourning and advises Christians on how to deal with the death of their loved ones. The presentation concludes by pointing out that the treatment of the event of death and mourning by the Orthodox Greek paternal tradition was completely different from the religious and social practice known until then around this issue. The Fathers of the Church condemned people's exaggerated fears of death and condemned, often harshly, the practices and customs that accompanied the care and burial of the dead and especially the manner in which they were mourned. At the same time, however, they tried with a lot of love, care and understanding to inform faithful Christians how to deal with death and mourning from the Christian point of view. | en |
