| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία με αντικείμενο μελέτης τις «Υλικές πτυχές της Πρώιμης αλφαβητικής γραφής και ο ρόλος του συμποσίου στην εκδήλωση του γραμματισμού», ερευνά την υλικότητα και κατ’ επέκταση τις υλικές πτυχές της αλφαβητικής γραφής κατά την Εποχή του Σιδήρου (11ος- 8ος αι. π.Χ.), καθώς και πως το συμπόσιο, τόσο μέσω των αγγείων, όσο και μέσω των συμποτικών αγώνων με βασικό στοιχείο την γραφή, συνέβαλε στην ανάπτυξη και διάδοση του γραμματισμού, η έννοια του οποίου αναλύεται επίσης διεξοδικά. Η εργασία επικεντρώνεται στην προσέγγιση της γραφής ως πολιτιστική πρακτική, αλλά και ως μέρος του υλικού πολιτισμού ο οποίος συμβάλει στην ανακατασκευή του αρχαιολογικού παρελθόντος. Επιπλέον, η τεχνολογία της κεραμικής είναι σταθερά ενσωματωμένη στα ευρύτερα περιβαλλοντικά, τεχνολογικά, οικονομικά, κοινωνικά, πολιτικά και ιδεολογικά πλαίσια και πρακτικές και η πράξη της γραφής συμβάλλει στη διερεύνηση των πτυχών παραγωγής και κατανάλωσης (chaîne opératoire). Οι πρακτικές γραφής και ανάγνωσης την εποχή αυτή, αποκαλύπτουν στοιχεία τόσο για τον τρόπο που οι άνθρωποι έβλεπαν την γραφή, όσο και για την κοινωνική διάσταση του γραμματισμού. Τέλος, η γραφή αν και μπορεί να θεωρηθεί ως μία τεχνολογία και μία τεχνολογική πρόοδος, δεν είναι δυνατό να αφομοιωθεί σε αυτό το πρωταρχικό στάδιο εξ ολοκλήρου από τις τοπικές κοινότητες, καθώς απαιτείται ένα κατάλληλο πολιτισμικό περιβάλλον στο οποίο η γραφή και κατ’ επέκταση ο γραμματισμός μπορεί να εξυπηρετήσει κάποιον αισθητά χρήσιμο σκοπό. Ένα τέτοιο πλαίσιο αποτέλεσε το συμπόσιο. Συμπερασματικά, αυτό που προκύπτει είναι ότι η γραφή είναι άμεσα συνυφασμένη με τον υλικό πολιτισμό και αποτελεί απαραίτητο στοιχείο για την κατανόηση τόσο των ίδιων των αντικειμένων, όσο και των πολιτιστικών και κοινωνικών χαρακτηριστικών των κοινωνιών της Εποχής του Σιδήρου. | el |
| heal.abstract | This diploma thesis, which studies the "Material aspects of Early Alphabetic writing and the role of the symposium in the event of literacy", investigates the materiality and consequently the material aspects of alphabetic writing during the Iron Age (11th-8th centuries BC), as well as how the symposium, both through the vases and the sympotic games with writing as a key element, contributed to the development and dissemination of literacy, the concept of which is also thoroughly analyzed. The thesis approaches writing as a cultural practice, but also as part of material culture which contributes to the reconstruction of the archaeological past. Moreover, ceramic technology is firmly embedded into broader environmental, technological, economic, social, political, and ideological contexts and practices, and the practice of writing contributes to the exploration of aspects of production and consumption (chaîne opératoire). Writing and reading in this era reveal how people viewed writing as well as the social dimension of literacy. Finally, although writing can be seen as a technology and a technological advancement, it cannot be assimilated at this primary stage entirely by local communities, as it requires an appropriate cultural environment in which writing and thus literacy can be set for some noticeably useful purpose. One such framework was the symposium. In conclusion, what emerges is that writing is directly intertwined with material culture and is an essential element for understanding both the objects themselves and the cultural and social characteristics of Iron Age societies. | en |
