| heal.abstract | Εισαγωγή: Η ασθένεια του κορονοϊού (COVID-19) είναι μια μεταδοτική ασθένεια που προκαλείται από τον ιό SARS-CoV-2. Οι περισσότεροι άνθρωποι που νοσούν από την COVID-19 βιώνουν ήπια έως μέτρια συμπτώματα και αναρρώνουν χωρίς ειδική θεραπεία. Ωστόσο, ένα ποσοστό αρρωσταίνει σοβαρά και χρειάζεται ιατρική φροντίδα. Σκοπός-στόχοι: Να σκιαγραφηθεί το επιδημιολογικό προφίλ των εμβολιασμένων κατοίκων του Νομού Θεσπρωτίας, με την ανάδειξη ποσοτικών δεδομένων που αφορούν στην ύπαρξη χρόνιων νοσημάτων. Μέθοδος: Πραγματοποιήθηκε ποσοτική επιδημιολογική μελέτη επιπολασμού, με ταυτόχρονη ανασκόπηση της πρόσφατης διεθνούς βιβλιογραφίας που δημοσιεύθηκε στην ηλεκτρονική βάση “PubMed” κατά την περίοδο 2020-2022, που αφορά στον COVID-19 και το συσχετισμό του με υποκείμενα χρόνια νοσήματα. Συμπεράσματα: Ο κλινικός αντίκτυπος της λοίμωξης SARS-CoV-2 είναι πιθανό να είναι μεγαλύτερος σε άτομα που πάσχουν από υποκείμενα νοσήματα και σε ηλικιωμένα άτομα. Θα πρέπει να ενθαρρύνουμε τους χρόνιους ασθενείς και τις οικογένειές τους να συνεχίσουν να είναι προσεκτικοί για να αποφύγουν τη μόλυνση, ακόμη και όταν έχουν ολοκληρώσει το πρόγραμμα εμβολιασμού τους, καθώς και να συνεχίσουν τις θεραπείες και τις παρακολούθησή τους τακτικά και να αναζητήσουν άμεση ιατρική φροντίδα όταν χρειάζεται. | el |
| heal.abstract | Introduction: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who get COVID-19 experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without specific treatment. However, a percentage become seriously ill and need medical attention. Purpose: To outline the epidemiological profile of the vaccinated residents of the Prefecture of Thesprotia, through highlighting of quantitative data concerning the existence of chronic diseases. Method: A quantitative epidemiological study of prevalence was carried out, with a simultaneous review of the recent international literature published in the electronic database "PubMed" during the period 2020-2022, regarding COVID-19 and its association with underlying chronic diseases. Conclusions: The clinical impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection is likely to be greater in people with underlying diseases and in the elderly. Patients and their families should be encouraged to continue to be vigilant to avoid infection, even after completing their vaccination program, to continue their treatments and follow-up regularly, and to seek prompt medical attention when needed. | en |
