| heal.abstract | Στην παρούσα εργασία μελετάται το καθεστώς της ολικής νέφωσης στην περιοχή των νοτίων Βαλκανίων καθώς και η σχέση της με τη ατμοσφαιρική κυκλοφορία πάνω από την ευρύτερη περιοχή της Ευρώπης και της Μεσογείου. Ως δεδομένα χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ημερήσιες (12UTC) τιμές ολικής νέφωσης και γεωδυναμικών υψών στα 500 και 1000 hPa για τη δεκαετία 2008-2017 που αντλήθηκαν από τη βάση δεδομένων ERA-5. Για την επεξεργασία τους χρησιμοποιήθηκαν τρείς στατιστικές μέθοδοι ανάλυσης δεδομένων ήτοι: Παραγοντική Ανάλυση , Ανάλυση κατά Συστάδες και Ανάλυση Κανονικής Συσχέτισης. Από την εφαρμογή της Παραγοντικής Ανάλυσης βρέθηκε, στην υπό εξέταση περιοχή, σαφής διαφορά στο καθεστώς της νέφωσης μεταξύ ηπειρωτικής και θαλάσσιας περιοχής με διαφορετική ενδο-ετήσια πορεία για κάθε περιοχή. Επίσης βρέθηκαν τρείς τύποι μέσης χωρικής κατανομής της νέφωσης. Η Ανάλυση κατά Συστάδες έδωσε εφτά τύπους νέφωσης με την αντίστοιχη ατμοσφαιρική κυκλοφορία που προκαλεί τον κάθε τύπο νέφωσης όπως αναλυτικά αναφέρεται στο αντίστοιχο κεφάλαιο, με κύρια στοιχεία που επηρεάζουν τη νέφωση να είναι συστήματα χαμηλών και υψηλών πιέσεων και συνδυασμοί αυτών. Τέλος από την Ανάλυση Κανονικής Συσχέτισης προέκυψαν τρία ζεύγη μεταβλητών (W,V) με σημαντική συσχέτιση των κανονικών μεταβλητών μεταξύ τους, επιβεβαιώνοντας έτσι τη φυσική ερμηνεία αιτίου- αποτελέσματος μεταξύ νέφωσης και ατμοσφαιρικής κυκλοφορίας με τα αντίστοιχα αποτελέσματα όπως περιγράφονται στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο, τα οποία μάλιστα συμφωνούν με τα αποτελέσματα της Παραγοντικής Ανάλυσης. | el |
| heal.abstract | In this work, the regime of total cloud cover over the region of southern Balkans and its connection to the atmospheric circulation over Europe and the Mediterranean Sea are studied. The data used are daily (12UTC) values of total cloud cover and geopotential height for the decade 2008-2017 obtained from the ERA_5 database. For the processing of these data the methods Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis and Canonical Correlation Analysis were used. The application of Factor Analysis for this region revealed certain differences in the seasonal variation of cloudiness between the mainland and the sea. Also three types of average spatial distribution of cloudiness were found. The application of Cluster Analysis revealed seven types of cloudiness patterns. The atmospheric circulation characteristics that correspond to each type were found to be systems of low and high atmospheric pressure, as well as combinations of them. Finally, the application of Canonical Correlation Analysis revealed three pairs of variables (W,V) with significant correlation, confirming the physical interpretation of cause-effect between cloudiness and atmospheric circulation. The corresponding results, as described in the third chapter, in fact agree with the results of Factor Analysis. | en |
