| heal.abstract | Η διαπολιτισμική ικανότητα αποτελεί κύριο εφόδιο κατά τη διαπροσωπική επαφή και επικοινωνία στις σύγχρονες πολυπολιτισμικές κοινωνίες. Στο χώρο της εκπαίδευσης, η καλλιέργεια διαπολιτισμικής ικανότητας αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι μιας αποτελεσματικής διαπολιτισμικής εκπαίδευσης. Γι’ αυτό και το ενδιαφέρον της συγκεκριμένης έρευνας επικεντρώνεται στο βαθμό διαπολιτισμικής ικανότητας των μελλοντικών εκπαιδευτικών πρωτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης. Πρόκειται για μια έρευνα με τη μέθοδο της δειγματοληψίας, με δείγμα από τα παιδαγωγικά τμήματα του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων και με εργαλείο συλλογής δεδομένων το ερωτηματολόγιο. Μέσα από ερωτήσεις τόσο ανοικτού, όσο και κλειστού τύπου, αναφορικά με διαπολιτισμικές καταστάσεις και συναντήσεις, επιχειρήσαμε να εξάγουμε χρήσιμα στοιχεία σχετικά με τις αντιλήψεις των συμμετεχόντων, τις διαπολιτισμικές τους δεξιότητες και τις στάσεις τους απέναντι σε διαπολιτισμικές καταστάσεις της καθημερινότητας. Η ερευνητική μας προσπάθεια ανέδειξε έναν ενδιάμεσο βαθμό διαπολιτισμικής ικανότητας των φοιτητριών/-των στα παιδαγωγικά τμήματα του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων. Οι συμμετέχοντες επέδειξαν ενδιαφέρον για επαφή με άτομα διαφορετικού πολιτισμικού υποβάθρου, χωρίς όμως ιδιαίτερες δεξιότητες διαπολιτισμικής επικοινωνίας. Η μειωμένη πολυγλωσσική ικανότητα και πρότερη διαπολιτισμική εμπειρία, συντέλεσαν εξίσου στο ενδιάμεσο αυτό αποτέλεσμα. Το έτος φοίτησης των συμμετεχόντων δεν αποτέλεσε παράγοντα σημαντικών αποκλίσεων στο βαθμό διαπολιτισμικής ικανότητας, πράγμα που εγείρει ερωτήματα για το τρόπο που τα πανεπιστημιακά ιδρύματα υπηρετούν τις αρχές και τις πρακτικές της διαπολιτισμικής εκπαίδευσης στη χώρα μας. Γενικότερα, η έρευνά μας οδηγεί στο συμπέρασμα ότι υπάρχει ανάγκη για επανεξέταση του τρόπου κατάρτισης των μελλοντικών εκπαιδευτικών στην Ελλάδα, καθώς και τροποποιήσεις στο σύνολο του εκπαιδευτικού συστήματος της χώρας, έτσι ώστε οι μαθητές να προετοιμάζονται και να εφοδιάζονται κατάλληλα για τη σύγχρονη πολυπολιτισμική πραγματικότητα. | el |
| heal.abstract | Intercultural competence is a major asset in interpersonal contact and communication in modern multicultural societies. In the field of education, the cultivation of intercultural competence is an integral part of an effective intercultural education. That is why the interest of this research is focused on the degree of intercultural competence of future primary education teachers. This is a survey with the method of sampling, with a sample from the pedagogical departments of the University of Ioannina and with the questionnaire as a data collection tool. Through both open-ended and closed-ended questions regarding intercultural situations and encounters, we attempted to extract useful information about the participants' perceptions, their intercultural skills and their attitudes towards intercultural situations of everyday life. Our research effort highlighted an intermediate degree of intercultural competence of students in the pedagogical departments of the University of Ioannina. Participants showed interest in contact with people from different cultural backgrounds, but without particular intercultural communication skills. Reduced multilingual capacity and prior intercultural experience also contributed to this intermediate result. The participants' year of study was not a factor of significant differences in the degree of their intercultural competence, which raises questions about the way university institutions serve the principles and practices of intercultural education in our country. In general, our research leads to the conclusion that there is a need for review of future teachers' training in Greece, as well as modifications to the entire educational system of the country, so that students are properly prepared and equipped for the modern multicultural reality. | en |
