| heal.abstract | Η διπλωματική εργασία αφορά στον ανασχεδιασμό του εγκαταλελειμμένου οικισμού των Καρυωτών και των παροπλισμένων αλυκών Αλεξάνδρου Λευκάδας. Οι δύο τόποι, που απέχουν μεταξύ τους 15 λεπτά με τo αυτοκίνητο, συνδέονται προγραμματικά με την δημιουργία ενός Μουσείου γύρω από το αλάτι: την συλλογή, την επεξεργασία και την χρήση του. Στόχος του Μουσείου είναι να συμβάλει στην ανάδειξη της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς της Λευκάδας, αλλά και γενικότερα της Ελλάδας, στο βαθμό που αυτή συνδέεται με την -όχι και τόσο παλιά- παραγωγική περίοδο λειτουργίας των αλυκών. Υπό αυτό το πρίσμα, το Μουσείο επιχειρεί να προβάλλει τόσο υλικά όσο και άυλα εκθέματα, με στόχο να ενισχύσει την πολιτιστική τοπική ταυτότητα. Ο οικισμός των Παλιών Καρυωτών εγκαταλείφθηκε από τους κατοίκους του το 1957 ενώ οι αλυκές Αλεξάνδρου έπαψαν να λειτουργούν το 1988, και σήμερα, παρότι χαρακτηρισμένες ως «Προστατευόμενο Βιομηχανικό Μουσείο και τόπος του Δικτύου Natura 2000», βρίσκονται σε πλήρη εγκατάλειψη. Η πρόταση προσεγγίζει ζητήματα επανάχρησης και επανοικειοποίησης γνωστοποιώντας τις πολιτιστικές συνήθειες και τα λαογραφικά έθιμα της περιοχής. Το νέο Μουσείο, μέσω βιωματικών εργαστηρίων, προσφέρει στον επισκέπτη τη δυνατότητα να γνωρίσει παραδοσιακές τεχνικές και πρακτικές, να δοκιμάσει την τοπική κουζίνα και να μάθει για τον τρόπο ζωής και τις χειρωνακτικές εργασίες που έκαναν κάποτε οι κάτοικοι του παλιού χωριού. | el |
| heal.abstract | The Diploma Thesis concerns the redesign of the abandoned settlement of old Kariotes and the decommissioned Alexander saltworks in Lefkada. The two places, which are 15 minutes apart by car, are programmatically connected with the creation of a Museum around salt: its collection, processing and use. The aim of the Museum is to contribute to the promotion of the cultural heritage of Lefkada, but also of Greece, to the extent that it is connected with the -not so old- operational period of the saltworks. With this in mind, the Museum attempts to display both tangible and intangible exhibits, in order to enhance the local cultural identity. The old settlement of Kariotes was abandoned by its inhabitants in 1957 and the Alexander saltworks stopped functioning in 1988 and are today completely abandoned, despite being designated as a “Protected Industrial Museum and site of Natura 2000 Network”, The proposal addresses issues of reuse and reappropriation by communicating the cultural customs and folklore traditions of the area. The new Museum, through experiential workshops, offers the visitor the opportunity to get acquainted with traditional techniques and practices, to try the local cuisine and to learn about the life of the inhabitants who once lived in the village. | en |
