| heal.abstract | Οι «Ευριπίδειες ηρωίδες με θρησκευτική αίγλη», το θέμα δηλαδή της μεταπτυχιακής διπλωματικής μας εργασίας, εντάσσεται στο ευρύτερο ερευνητικό πεδίο της ενεργού συμμετοχής του γυναικείου φύλου στη θρησκευτική ζωή και στον τρόπο που η συμμετοχή αυτή αποτυπώνεται στη λογοτεχνία της κλασικής περιόδου. Ειδικότερα, η έρευνά μας επικεντρώθηκε στη μελέτη των Τρωάδων (415 π.Χ.), της Ιφιγένειας της εν Ταύροις (414-412 π.Χ.) και της Ελένης (412 π.Χ.), σωζόμενων δηλαδή τραγωδιών που εμφανίζουν επί σκηνής γυναικείες μορφές που είτε ονομάζονται ρητά ιέρειες, είτε έχουν ένα ιδιαίτερο θρησκευτικό κύρος που πηγάζει από τη σχέση τους με το θεϊκό κόσμο. Ο στόχος της εργασίας ήταν η πραγμάτευση του εξεταζόμενου θέματος τόσο από λογοτεχνική σκοπιά, όσο και σε έναν τουλάχιστον βαθμό, από ιστορική και ανθρωπολογική άποψη. Μέσω της σχολαστικής μελέτης των τραγωδιών ερευνήθηκαν, κατ’ αρχάς, τα χαρακτηριστικά των ευριπίδειων ιερειών και ο ρόλος που επιτελούν στην οικονομία των έργων όπου εμφανίζονται. Στη συνέχεια, επιχειρήθηκε ένας πρώτος βασικός συσχετισμός της λογοτεχνικής παρουσίασης των ιερειών κατά τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες του 5ου αιώνα π. Χ. με κάποια θεμελιώδη ιστορικά στοιχεία που αφορούν τις γυναικείες ιεροσύνες στην κλασική Αθήνα. | el |
| heal.abstract | “Female religious authority in Euripides’ plays” is the subject of our master’s thesis. This subject is part of the broader field of research on the active participation of women in religious life and the way in which participation is reflected in the literature of the classical period. Our research focused on Trojan Women (415 B.C.), Iphigenia in Tauris (414-412 B.C.) and Helen (412 B.C.), the surviving tragedies that show on stage women who are either explicitly called priestesses or have a special prestige that stems from their relationship with the divine world. The aim of this study was the investigation of the subject both from a literary point of view and, to a lesser extent, from a historical and anthropological point of view. Through the meticulous study of the tragedies, the characteristics of these Euripides’ heroines and the role they play in the tragedies in which they appear were first investigated. Then, the study illustrated a basic correlation between the literary presentation of the priestesses during the last decades of the 5th century B.C. with some fundamental historical data concerning female priesthoods in classical Athens. | en |
