| heal.abstract | Αντικείμενο της διατριβής είναι μία ειδική όψη της πολιτιστικής ζωής και δραστηριότητας μέρους της άρχουσας τάξης στην Ελλάδα, η οποία συνοψίζεται στη σχέση ορισμένων δωρεών/κληροδοτημάτων καλλιτεχνικών και ευρύτερα πολιτιστικών ελληνικών συλλογών με τη συγκρότηση ταυτότητας των συλλεκτών και την εθνοποιητική διαδικασία. Πλοηγό στο αντικείμενο αποτελούν οι δωρεές/κληροδοτήματα προς το ελληνικό έθνος-κράτος τριών ιδιωτικών πολιτιστικών συλλογών: του Γεωργίου Αβέρωφ (1818-1899), του Αλεξάνδρου Σούτσου (1839-1895) και του Αντώνη Μπενάκη (1873-1954), οι οποίοι κατά τη διάρκεια σχεδόν ενός αιώνα, περίπου από το δεύτερο μισό του 19ου αιώνα ως το πρώτο μισό του 20ού, εισάγουν στο επιστημονικό πεδίο το θέμα που έχει καταγραφεί στην ιστοριογραφία ως «ευεργετισμός». | el |
| heal.abstract | The subject of the dissertation is a special aspect of the cultural life and activity of part of the ruling class in Greece, which is summarized in the relation of certain donations / bequests of artistic and wider cultural collections in Greece to the collectors' identity and the ethnographic process. The donor / legacies to the Greek nation-state of three private cultural collections include: Georgios Averoff (1818-1899), Alexandros Soutsos (1839-1895) and Antonis Benakis (1873-1954), who during a century, almost from the second half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, introduce in the academic field the subject that has been described in historiography as "benevoleism" and concerns the benefactors. | en |
