| heal.abstract | Η νόσος Αλτσχάιμερ (AD) είναι η πιο κοινή ασθένεια που σχετίζεται με την άνοια και επηρεάζει πάνω από το 20% του πληθυσμού, ηλικίας 65 και άνω, με προφανές στοιχείο την εξασθένηση της γλωσσικής επικοινωνίας. Επίσης και η νόσος του Parkinson ως μια συχνή κινητική διαταραχή παρουσιάζει με την πάροδο του χρόνου ανοική συνδρομή, με διαφορετική συμπτωματολογία από την νόσο Alzheimer. Στην παρούσα διδακτορική διατριβή, επιχειρείται η διερεύνηση των διαταραχών της επικοινωνίας και του λόγου στην άνοια τύπου Alzheimer (AD) και στην άνοια της νόσου Parkinson με την χρήση λογοπαθολογικών – λογοθεραπευτικών κλιμάκων αξιολόγησης και την βοήθεια νευροαπεικονιστικών μεθόδων. Η έρευνα της διδακτορικής διατριβής χωρίστηκες σε δύο τμήματα: α) τις δύο μελέτες για την πιλοτική δοκιμή της κλίμακας ABCD (Arizona Battery of Communication Disorders for Dementia), β) στην πρόδρομη-πρώιμη στάθμιση της εν λόγω κλίμακας και στην καταγραφή των διαταραχών του λόγου και της επικοινωνίας που προκύπτουν από την άνοια τύπου Alzheimer (AD) και στην άνοια της νόσου Parkinson. Το δείγμα της έρευνας για τις δύο πιλοτικές μελέτες ήταν από 60 νευροτυπικούς ενήλικες για κάθε μελέτη έκαστη (σύνολο 120). Ενώ το δείγμα της έρευνας πρόδρομης στάθμισης και καταγραφή των διαταραχών αποτελείται από 60 νευροτυπικούς ενήλικες που εξυπηρετούσαν την ομάδα ελέγχου (Controls), 18 ασθενείς με νόσο Parkinson (PD), 24 ασθενείς με παρκινσονική άνοια (Parkinson Disease Dementia-PDD), και 20 ασθενείς με νόσο Alzheimer: 13 με ήπιου βαθμού άνοια (mAD) και 7 με μέτρια βαθμού άνοια (medAD). Στους εξεταζόμενους χορηγήθηκαν οι κλίμακες Arizona Battery for communication Disorders of dementia (ABCD), The Clock Test (CDT), Abbreviate Mental Test Score (AMTS), Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) και Neuropsychiatric Inventory (NPI). Από την έρευνα βρέθηκε μία πιθανότητα να μπορεί πρώιμα να εντοπιστεί γνωστική έκπτωση σε ασθενείς με νόσο Parkinson με την χρήση συγκεκριμένων δοκιμασιών κλινικής- λογοπαθολογικής αξιολόγησης και την πιστοποίηση τους από νευροαπεικονιστικές μεθόδους. Επίσης, πως είναι επιτακτική ανάγκη και πρέπει να γίνεται ανά τακτά χρονικά διαστήματα η αξιολόγηση των πληθυσμών αυτών, με σκοπό να προλαμβάνεται έγκαιρα η αντιμετώπιση των πιθανών γνωστικών εκπτώσεων φαρμακευτικά και μη φαρμακευτικά. | el |
| heal.abstract | Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common disease associated with dementia and affects more than 20% of the population aged 65 and over with obvious aspect the weakening of language, communication and cognition. Also, Parkinson's disease as a frequent movement disorder presents in time dementia, with different symptoms of the Alzheimer disease. This dissertation, attempts to map the disorders of communication, language, speech and cognition in dementia of the Alzheimer’s type (AD) and Parkinson's disease dementia (PDD) type using speech and language well as cognitive assessments and the use of neuroimaging methods. Research thesis was divided into two parts: a) two pilot studies to evaluate and validate in Greek language the Arizona Battery of Communication Disorders for Dementia (ABCD), b) the preliminary standardization of this battery in order to be used to map and identify the disorders of speech and communication resulting from Alzheimer disease dementia and Parkinson disease dementia. Samples for two pilots were 60 neurotypical adults in a total of 120. Recruited sample for preliminary standardization and mapping communication disorders consisted from 60 neurotypical adults who served as controls, 18 patients with Parkinson (PD), 24 patients with Parkinson’s disease dementia (PDD), and 20 patients with Alzheimer disease: 13 with mild dementia (mAD) and 7 with moderate dementia (medAD). All subjects were administered and assessed with Arizona Battery for communication Disorders of dementia (ABCD), Clock Test (CDT), Abbreviate Mental Test Score (AMTS), Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) and Neuropsychiatric Inventory (NPI). Research major outcome was the probability to detect early cognitive impairment in patients with Parkinson disease with the use of specific speech and language assessment subtests and to be verified by neuroimaging methods. Also, that evaluation of these populations must be imperative and should be done regularly, in order to timely prevent the potential of probable cognitive decline by addressing pharmaceutical therapy and non- pharmaceutical intervention. | en |
