| heal.abstract | Τον τελευταίο καιρό φαίνεται να υπάρχει αυξανόμενο ενδιαφέρον πάνω στο θέμα της επίδρασης της χριστιανικής πίστης στον ανθρώπινο πόνο, καθώς πολλοί είναι εκείνοι οι άνθρωποι που στρέφονται στο Θεό και στηρίζονται στη θρησκευτική τους πίστη ώστε να μπορέσουν να αντιμετωπίσουν τον σωματικό τους πόνο. Σκοπός της παρούσας μελέτης είναι να παρουσιάσει τα αποτελέσματα από την ανασκόπηση της βιβλιογραφίας πάνω σε αυτό ακριβώς το θέμα. Πρόκειται για μια συστηματική ανασκόπηση που πραγματοποιήθηκε στην ιατρική ηλεκτρονική βάση δεδομένων MEDLINE στις 24 Ιουνίου 2007. Συμπεριλήφθηκαν όλες εκείνες οι μελέτες, εκτός των ανασκοπήσεων, που προσέγγισαν τη σχέση της χριστιανικής πίστης με τον σωματικό πόνο. Την εξαγωγή των δεδομένων ακολούθησε η ποιοτική σύνθεσή τους. Επιλέχθηκαν δέκα μελέτες, ως επί το πλείστον συγχρονικές, που πληρούσαν τα κριτήρια επιλογής. Παρόλο που τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν πως υπάρχει σχέση ανάμεσα στη θρησκευτική πίστη και τον πόνο, δεν ήταν ξεκάθαρο τι είδους σχέση ήταν αυτή. Υπήρξε μεγάλη ποικιλία στις παραμέτρους της θρησκευτικής πίστης που προσεγγίστηκαν σε κάθε άρθρο, κάποιες από αυτές με θετική και κάποιες με αρνητική επίδραση στον πόνο. Συμπερασματικά, ο πόνος σχετίζεται με την πίστη στον Θεό κάποιες φορές με θετικό και κάποιες άλλες με αρνητικό τρόπο, ανάλογα με το ποιες στρατηγικές διαχείρισης του πόνου προτιμώνται κάθε φορά και με ποια εργαλεία γίνεται η αξιολόγησή τους. Περισσότερες έρευνες είναι ανάγκη να γίνουν, ώστε να καθοριστεί η ακριβής συσχέτιση. | el |
| heal.abstract | Background: The relationship between physical pain and Christian faith is the subject of a growing body of research, as many people seem to rely on their faith in God in order to cope with pain. Objectives: To assess the effects of faith in God and religiosity on physical pain. Search strategy: Systematic review based on MEDLINE search (24 June 2007). Selection criteria: All types of studies (apart from reviews) that assessed the relationship between religiosity- spirituality and physical pain. Data collection: The author studied each article and extracted the data. A qualitative synthesis of the data was performed. Main results: 10 studies met the inclusion criteria. Although the results showed that there is an association between religious coping and pain, they did not make it clear what that association is.The parameters measured were not the same in every article, and in particular there was variability in the parameters measured concerning the religious coping in each. Some of them had a positive relationship with pain and some negative. Conclusions: Pain is associated with faith in God and the Christian religion, sometimes in a positive way and sometimes negative, depending on which religious coping method is used each time and which instrument is used to measure it. More research needs to be done in order to determine the exact relationships. | en |
