| heal.abstract | Στην εργασία αυτή μελετήθηκαν οι νευροεκφυλιστικές ασθένειες, τα αίτιά τους και οι πιθανές θερεπείες από μοριακή σκοπιά. Η παρούσα εργασία χωρίζεται σε τρία κεφάλαια. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο αναφέρονται αρχικά τα εισαγωγικά για τις νευροεκφυλιστικές ασθένειες και στην συνέχεια γίνεται ανάλυση των ασθενειών «Parkinson», «Alzheimer’s» και «Huntington» που είναι και οι συνηθέστερες νευροεκφυλιστικές ασθένειες. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο γίνεται εκτεταμένη ανάλυση των μοριακών συνοδών και των ρόλων που έχουν στις ασθένεις που αναφέρθηκαν. Συγκεκριμένα, παρουσιάζονται και εξηγούνται οι ρόλοι συγκεκριμένων μοριακών συνοδών όπως οι Hsp70, Hsp90 και άλλες στις νευροεκφυλιστικές ασθένειες. Οι μοριακοί συνοδοί συμμετέχουν και βοηθούν την σωστή αναδίπλωση των πρωτεΐνών και ως εκ τούτου η υπερέκφραση κάποιων θα μπορούσε να συμβάλει στην θεραπεία κάποιων νευροεκφυλιστικών ασθενειών. Τέλος, η εργασία αυτή κλείνει με ένα κεφάλαιο που αφορά τις θεραπευτικές προσεγγίσεις έναντι αυτών των ασθενειών, οι οποίες όμως είναι μη αποτελεσματικές ακόμη όσον αφορά την οριστική θεραπεία συγκεκριμένων ασθενειών. Το πεδίο στο οποίο αφορά η εργασία θεωρείται ένα από τα πιο σημαντικά και δύσκολα θέματα των Βιοεπιστημών καθώς οι εν λόγω ασθένειες μαστίζουν τον σύγχρονο άνθρωπο και δεν υπάρχουν αποτελεσματικές θεραπείες επι του παρόντος. Για τον λόγο αυτό η μοριακή μελέτη των νευροεκφυλιστικών ασθενειών έχει ιδιαίτερη σημασία στην σύγχρονη Ιατρική επιστήμη. | el |
| heal.abstract | In this master thesis there has been studied the causes and possible therapies of neurodegenerative diasease from molecular standpoint. This work is dividied into three chapters. At the first chapter there are initially mentioned introductory things about these diseases, and then there is analysis of Parkinson, Alzheimer’s and Huntington disease which are the most common neurodegenerative diseases. In the second chapter there is a comprehensive analysis of molecular chaperones and their roles in the neurodegenerative diseases that are mentioned above. Specifically, this chapter presents the roles of specific molecular chaperones such as Hsp70, Hsp90 and others in the neurodegenerative diseases that this thesis is about. The molecular chaperones help the right protein folding, and their overexpression could contribute to the treatment os some neurodegenerative diseases. Finally, this thesis ends with a chapter on therapeutic approaches to these diseases which however are not yet effective. The field that concernes this thesis is considered to be one of the most important and difficult issues of Biosciences as these diseases plague the humanity and there are no effective treatments at the present. For this reason, the molecular study of neurodegenerative diseases is particularly important in modern Medical science. | en |
