heal.abstractWe show that a right triangulated category is best behaved when its shift satisfies conditions making it what we call a right semi-equivalence.We consider right triangulated categories constructed using the standard method of [A. Beligiannis and N. Marmaridis, Comm. Algebra 22 (1994), no. 12, 5021 5036; MR1285724 (95h:18012)] and give a necessary and sufficient condition for the shift of such a right triangulated category to be a right semi-equivalence. We study examples where this condition is satisfied, then we apply our results to show that the unfolding of an APR-iterated tilted algebra is the postprojective component of the full subcategory of the homotopy category of bounded complexes of finitely generated projective modules having zero cohomology in the positive indices.en
