| heal.abstract | Αντικείμενο της διατριβής είναι η μελέτη και η ερμηνεία των πήλινων αναθημάτων - ειδώλια, προτομές και πίνακες - που προέρχονται από σπήλαια της Λευκάδας και του Μεγανησίου και χρονολογούνται από τους αρχαϊκούς έως τους ελληνιστικούς χρόνους. Στόχος της είναι να καλύψει το κενό της συστηματικής μελέτης της κοροπλαστικής από τους λατρευτικούς αυτούς χώρους και συνακόλουθα να διερευνηθούν τα ζητήματα λατρείας που προκύπτουν από τη μελέτη του υλικού. Η μεθοδολογία στηρίζεται στην ταξινόμηση του υλικού σύμφωνα με τον εικονογραφικό τους τύπο. Παρουσιάζονται 571 αντιπροσωπευτικά αντικείμενα, τα οποία αναδεικνύουν τα μορφολογικά και εικονογραφικά χαρακτηριστικά κάθε τύπου. Το πολυπληθέστερο ανάθημα είναι οι κύκλιοι χοροί, ακολουθούν οι υπόλοιπες κατηγορίες των ειδωλίων, όπως ιστάμενα και καθήμενα ανδρικά και γυναικεία ειδώλια διαφόρων τύπων, ειδώλια θεών, ηρώων, μιξογενών όντων, ηθοποιών, μορφών με προσωπεία, ειδώλια ζώων κ.ά., που καλύπτουν χρονικά την περίοδο από τους αρχαϊκούς έως και τους ελληνιστικούς χρόνους. Στον ίδιο χρονικό ορίζοντα τοποθετούνται και οι γυναικείες προτομές. Οι ανάγλυφοι πίνακες, που χρονολογούνται στα ελληνιστικά χρόνια, αντλούν τα θέματά τους κυρίως από τον χορό είτε απεικονίζουν γυναίκες που χορεύουν μόνες τους είτε με τη συνοδεία του Πάνα ή του Σιληνού. Ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει ένα ξεχωριστό εικονογραφικό θέμα, στο οποίο αποδίδονται πολλαπλοί οφθαλμοί σε σειρές. Η ποσότητα του υλικού βεβαιώνει την ανθηρή κοροπλαστική παραγωγή της Λευκάδας και συνακόλουθα την οικονομική της ευρωστία. Από τα προϊόντα της, που απαντούν σε άλλες περιοχές και από τις επιδράσεις, τις οποίες έχει δεχθεί το εργαστήριο της, καταδεικνύεται η εμπορική της δραστηριότητα και οι επαφές της με τις άλλες πόλεις. Παράλληλα εντοπίζονται οι προτιμήσεις σε συγκεκριμένες κατηγορίες αναθημάτων, οι τοπικές παραγωγές και οι δημιουργίες του τοπικού εργαστηρίου. Τέλος αναγνωρίζονται οι λατρευόμενες θεότητες, οι λατρευτικές πρακτικές και οι τελετές που λάμβαναν χώρα στα σπήλαια των δύο νησιών αλλά και οι ομοιότητές τους με τον ευρύτερο ελλαδικό χώρο. | el |
| heal.abstract | The subject of the present thesis is the study and interpretation of clay votive offerings—figurines, busts, and plaques—originating from caves on Lefkada and Meganisi and dating from the Archaic to the Hellenistic periods. Its aim is to fill the lack of a systematic study of coroplastic material from these cult sites and, consequently, to investigate the questions of worship arising from the examination of this material. The methodology is based on the classification of the material according to its iconographic type. A total of 571 representative objects are presented, highlighting the morphological and iconographic characteristics of each type. The most numerous votive offerings are the circular dancing groups. They are followed by other categories of figurines, including standing and seated male and female figures of various types, representations of gods, heroes, hybrid beings, actors, masked figures, animals, and others, which date from the Archaic to the Hellenistic period. Female busts are also dated within the same chronological range. The relief plaques, which date to the Hellenistic period, draw their themes mainly from dance, depicting either women dancing alone or accompanied by Pan or Silenus. Of particular interest is a distinctive iconographic motif depicting multiple eyes arranged in rows. The quantity of the material attests to the flourishing coroplastic production of Lefkada and, consequently, to its economic prosperity. The presence of its products in other regions, together with the influences received by its workshop, demonstrates its commercial activity and contacts with other cities. At the same time, the study identifies preferences for particular categories of votive offerings, local productions, and creations of the local workshop. Finally, it identifies the deities worshipped, the cult practices and rituals that took place in the caves of the two islands, as well as their similarities with those of the wider Greek world. | en |
