| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία εξετάζει τον ρόλο και τη σημασία της κοινωνικής εργασίας στην πρώιμη παιδική ηλικία, εστιάζοντας στην υποστήριξη των παιδιών και των οικογενειών τους. Στόχος της, είναι η ανάδειξη της κοινωνικής εργασίας στην προώθηση της κοινωνικής συνοχής, της συναισθηματικής ανάπτυξης των παιδιών και της στήριξης των οικογενειών. Η βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση ανέδειξε σχετικές θεωρητικές και πρακτικές προσεγγίσεις, ξεκινώντας από τον ορισμό και τις αρχές της κοινωνικής εργασίας, σχετικά με τις ανάγκες και τις προκλήσεις που χαρακτηρίζουν την πρώιμη παιδική ηλικία. Στη συνέχεια, εξετάζεται ο ρόλος του κοινωνικού λειτουργού στους παιδικούς σταθμούς συγκεκριμένα, σε παιδιά πρόσφυγες και σε μητέρες σε καθεστώς φυλάκισης, εστιάζοντας στη διαχείριση κοινωνικών, οικονομικών και συναισθηματικών δυσκολιών των παιδιών και των οικογενειών τους. Αναλύεται επίσης η σημασία της προώθησης της συμπερίληψης και της ισότητας, μέσω στοχευμένων δράσεων που ενισχύουν την ένταξη παιδιών από διαφορετικά κοινωνικά και πολιτισμικά υπόβαθρα. Η εργασία περιγράφει τις στρατηγικές παρέμβασης, όπως η συμβουλευτική γονέων και η ανάπτυξη εκπαιδευτικών προγραμμάτων. Τονίζεται η σημασία της συνεργασίας κοινωνικών λειτουργών με παιδαγωγούς και γονείς για τη δημιουργία ενός υποστηρικτικού και ασφαλούς περιβάλλοντος. Επιπλέον, πραγματοποιείται μια συγκριτική ανάλυση των συστημάτων κοινωνικής εργασίας στην Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο, με στόχο τις ομοιότητες και τις διαφορές τους, αλλά και την άντληση πρακτικών που θα μπορούσαν να εφαρμοστούν σε κάθε περίπτωση. Συμπερασματικά, μέσα από την παρούσα εργασία, ανακύπτει το συμπέρασμα ότι η κοινωνική εργασία στους παιδικούς σταθμούς είναι αναγκαία για τη διασφάλιση ίσων ευκαιριών και τη βελτίωση της ευημερίας τόσο των παιδιών όσο και των οικογενειών τους. Τέλος, προτείνονται συγκεκριμένες δράσεις που θα μπορούσαν να ενισχύσουν τον ρόλο των κοινωνικών λειτουργών στην πρώιμη παιδική ηλικία, συμβάλλοντας έτσι στην περαιτέρω ανάπτυξη του κλάδου. | el |

The aim is to promote social work as a critical component in creating social cohesion, improving children's emotional development, and supporting families. The process involves a literature review that examines relevant theoretical and practical approaches. The dissertation begins with an introduction to the terminology and principles of social work before considering the needs and barriers that define early life. It then considers the role of social workers in nursery schools, focusing on addressing the social, economic, and emotional challenges faced by children and their families. The importance of promoting inclusion and equality is also explored through specific interventions that support the integration of young children from different socio-economic backgrounds. The study includes intervention options such as parental counselling and the development of educational programmes. Collaboration between social workers, educators, and parents is emphasized as crucial to fostering a supportive atmosphere. In addition, a comparative examination of the social work systems in Greece and Cyprus is carried out, focusing on similarities, differences, and best practices that can be applied in each scenario. To sum up, the study argues that social work in nursery schools is crucial in providing equal opportunities and promoting the well-being of children and their families. Finally, specific initiatives are proposed to enhance the role of social workers in early childhood and thus contribute to the further development of the field. | en |
