| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία διερευνά το φαινόμενο του «ελληνικού ροκ» μέσα από την αποδελτίωση του μουσικού περιοδικού Ποπ & Ροκ, κατά την εξαετή περίοδο 1980–1985. Το περιοδικό αποτέλεσε καθοριστικό δίαυλο έκφρασης, προβολής και θεματοποίησης του ελληνικού ροκ συμβάλλοντας καθοριστικά στη διαμόρφωση της ταυτότητάς του. Η μεθοδολογία βασίστηκε στην ποιοτική ανάλυση περιεχομένου, με έμφαση στη θεματική κατηγοριοποίηση άρθρων, συνεντεύξεων και κριτικών. Αποδελτιώθηκαν συνολικά 54 τεύχη του περιοδικού, καλύπτοντας πλήρως την περίοδο, με στόχο την καταγραφή των μορφών λόγου και των αφηγηματικών τρόπων που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν για την ανάδειξη του ελληνικού ροκ. Η εργασία αναδεικνύει τρεις βασικούς άξονες: την παρουσίαση των μουσικών ως φορέων ροκ ταυτότητας, τις πολιτισμικές και κοινωνικές διαστάσεις της μουσικής μέσω άρθρων και αφιερωμάτων και τις αισθητικές ή ιδεολογικές τάσεις, που προκύπτουν από τις κριτικές. Η αποδελτίωση επέτρεψε την ερμηνευτική ανάγνωση του περιεχομένου, αποκαλύπτοντας επαναλαμβανόμενα μοτίβα, έννοιες εναλλακτικότητας, κοινωνικής διαμαρτυρίας και πολιτικοποίησης της μουσικής. Παράλληλα, πραγματοποιήθηκε εκτενής βιβλιογραφική επισκόπηση, η οποία ενίσχυσε τη θεωρητική θεμελίωση της έρευνας, ενώ τα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα επικεντρώθηκαν στον τρόπο με τον οποίο το περιοδικό πρόβαλε το «ελληνικό ροκ», τις μορφές λόγου, που χρησιμοποίησε και τις πιθανές εξελίξεις κατά την εξαετή περίοδο 1980–1985. Τονίζεται ότι η επιλογή αυτής της περιόδου ήταν στρατηγική, καθώς αποτελεί χρονικό πλαίσιο έντονων κοινωνικοπολιτικών αλλαγών, κατά τις οποίες το ροκ συνδέεται περισσότερο με πολιτισμικούς ρόλους και κοινωνικά νοήματα. Η εργασία καταλήγει στο ότι το Ποπ & Ροκ δεν υπήρξε απλώς μέσο μουσικής ενημέρωσης, αλλά έδρα πολιτισμικής διαπραγμάτευσης και έκφρασης της νεολαίας. Η μελέτη του περιοδικού ως ιστορικό και πολιτισμικό τεκμήριο προσφέρει σημαντικές ενδείξεις για τη διαμόρφωση της ροκ κουλτούρας στην Ελλάδα και ανοίγει νέες ερευνητικές κατευθύνσεις για την κατανόηση της σχέσης μουσικής, νεολαίας και κοινωνίας. | el |
| heal.abstract | This study explores the phenomenon of “Greek rock” through the content analysis of the music magazine Pop & Rock during the six year period 1980–1985. The magazine served as a crucial channel for the expression, promotion, and thematization of Greek rock, playing a decisive role in shaping its identity. The methodology was based on qualitative content analysis, with emphasis on the thematic categorization of articles, interviews, and reviews. A total of 54 issues of the magazine were indexed, fully covering the six year span, aiming to record the forms of discourse and narrative strategies used to highlight Greek rock. The study focuses on three main points: the portrayal of musicians as carriers of rock identity, the cultural and social dimensions of music through articles and features, and the aesthetic or ideological trends revealed in reviews. The indexing allowed for an interpretive reading of the content, uncovering recurring patterns, concepts of alternativity, social protest, and politicization of music. At the same time, an extensive literature review was conducted, which strengthened the theoretical foundation of the research, while the research questions centered on how the magazine represented Greek rock, the types of discourse it employed, and the possible developments during the 1980–1985 period. It is emphasized that the selection of this period was strategic, as it marks a time of intense sociopolitical change, during which rock music became more deeply connected with cultural roles and social meanings. The study concludes that Pop & Rock was not merely a medium of music journalism, but a site of cultural negotiation and youth expression. Examining the magazine as a historical and cultural document offers significant insights into the formation of rock culture in Greece and opens new research paths for understanding the relationship between music, youth, and society. | en |
